That's certainly an exciting exit-strategy! It does make me wonder about the nature of dragons in this verse of yours, and how much human know about them. Trebelle must have known they were intelligent, if she tried bargaining with one, but not the extent of their magical power. Reading lessons. Not expecting that. It's a good resolution.

Again, you can probably guess that I'd say "I wish the words were reversed." I definitely wouldn't mind moving in with a huge, warm dragon - even if she isn't particularly soft, I'd imagine that snuggling against her rough scales could be comforting in her own right. I also LOVE how you made this one PLATONIC - from what I can tell, it's never actually implied that the dragon has any _romantic_ interest in the princess, and is just letting her be their roommate because she knows things they'd like to learn. It doesn't _always_ have to end in romance, after all! I know we've had our little discussions about how "human" these various monster species should be, and I think that people should stick to whatever they're comfortable with - however, with _dragons in particular,_ I feel like a lot more of the appeal is lost by turning a dragon into a humanoid woman/man. For me, part of why I love dragons so much is (as you might have guessed) is the sheer _scale_ of them - whether the dragon is friend or foe (I prefer friend), there's always a sense of _spectacle_ about how incredibly powerful they are to everyone else. While you can transfer many traits of a dragon onto a humanoid, that spectacle isn't one that transfers perfectly well, even if you _try_ to maintain it. So even though I'd prefer to have the roles be reversed, I'm glad that you went with the listener being a _literal_ dragon that could _shift_ into a human form rather than JUST the latter form. I also think it's quite interesting how we have the princess hitchhiking on the back of an _unaware_ dragon, rather than us trying to kidnap her, or willingly helping her escape - it's not a dynamic I've heard before with dragons! I also absolutely ADORE what you've done with the audio editing around the middle, I think you did a pretty good job at depicting the dragon's size and the _intimidation factor_ the princess was going through, as it really helps her feel more brave. I think I mentioned this to you at SOME point, but I absolutely adore hearing ASMRtists/creators depict _huge_ monsters in audio form, as it can be very immersive if done right, and it's a good showcase of their editing talent. I hope you try more audios in the future that can allow you to flex and grow that talent! ...which brings me to my last point, which I foreshadowed a few times earlier. I believe I told you before I left that I actually was in the process of coming up with a story idea for you to try. Well, over the past month or so, I think I've managed to refine that idea into something pretty good! It's a mix of things you're fond of (based on our various chats), some things I like, and I'm leaving some of the details open-ended so you can have more creative freedom. It's just a _little_ odd, my ideas usually are, but hopefully shouldn't be anything that makes you uncomfortable. I unfortunately lack the money for a commission, but I hope that you'll potentially like my suggestion enough to give it a shot? I think it could be a really fun one to make, too. Buuuuuuut I'll have to tell you that idea tomorrow, or later. It's getting quite late for me, and if I recall correctly we're in the same timezone. So I'll let you take care of your nightly routine and anything else you have to do, and we can dive into the details once you're feeling refreshed. Out of curiosity, how big is the dragon?

If a claw is as big as a forearm, I'd guess head and body come to about 15 feet in length, tail is probably another 5-7. So... 20-22 feet in length, and about 10-12 feet tall while on all fours.
