I LOVED the ending of this film. No massive confrontation with the 'bag guy'. No final big fight scene. The protaganist was always outgunned and out-manned. This movie was always about survival and escape. And that's exactly what he achieved. So good. Would love to see a sequel and find out what the repercussions of this movie was!

The way this just ends with him grasping the black box for dear life is so good. Leaves things with a bit of closer but still an air of uncertainty.

That part where she arrests the chief....the look of utter disbelief on his face that he's actually going to be called to account for this and the evidence got away is priceless.

Unless I'm mistaken, his cousin was the only death in the whole movie. That's an impressive low body count for a good action movie.

I love how movies like this show cops as formidable when in reality they are a bunch of nothings with authority and a blue collar job.

I'm confused as to why the cops so quickly changed their intent. They were perfectly happy to kill him before, but the second their chief is momentarily delayed, they decide to turn on him and support this dude instead? Admittedly I haven't see the whole thing, but was it clearly indicated that the chief is losing control of the situation and that a sort of rebellion is brewing?
@offensivename112 ай бұрын
My interpretation is a combo of getting sick of Don Johnson's shit (after he wounded Ev) and thinking that they could pin all the blame on him. Terry went out of his way to avoid killing cops and Morton dying was gonna attract unnecessary attention. This way, they could say it was all the Chief's fault.
@DETECTIVESPACEMAN092 ай бұрын
they did leave him behind in the earlier gunfight

It really confused me, but I rewatched the scenes leading up and saw all the clues. For example, you can see the officers whispering to eachother before the final chase (0:28 in this video, and then you can see why she doesnt get in his car and instead takes another- so she can do the PIT), the chief is originally the ONLY one to fire at him when he runs at the start of the shootout. Also you can hear them fighting over the radio, like when chief says to light the car up and someone else says not to because Ev is in there. Lots of little things showing they were getting tired of the chief's shit

@@davidjob4909 yeah, I saw the movie and its a little clearer. At one point one cop from a group of cops goes "I don't know who to shoot at", and the chick cop responds "then don't shoot at anybody". There's like 3 or 4 cops, plus the chief, who are shooting and then get taken out.

Once the chief shot his own man that changed a lot of the other officer's minds. The movie is very understated and a lot of things are implied, which is why I liked it.

Why does it need one tho? The plot is wrapped up. Enough movies have a “three months later” type ending and it almost always drags on too long.

I mean that was the point, this movie wanted to subvert a lot of normal Hollywood tropes. 2 characters getting together in a high stress life or death situation rarely makes any sense in movies. Now after this takes place maybe they do end up getting together, who knows.

Watched the whole movie. Now I need to watch an explanation video to understand the story and twists. The last climax fight is a joke. I wonder how the main lead survives in that climax shootout. This is supposed to be an action movie, and the story line should be simple. It seems this story is too complex, and still, I may need to see an explanation video for what the heck actually happened in this movie.
