I'm from Northern Ireland and I have to admit that I don't know a lot about the American Civil War. HOWEVER! What I have discovered during my little studying of it is that the Confederate flag is the true American flag that represents freedom and liberty. The Stars & Stripes is a flag that represents oppression, tyranny and a dictatorship.
@amarillodelbosqueverde58092 жыл бұрын
i dont know where you heard that but i mean the confederate flag is defiantly closer to the original American flag but i wouldn't go that far

@@amarillodelbosqueverde5809 Hi there. I'm sorry but I believe that you may have taken my comment out of context. I can understand that and I do apologise for not making myself obviously crystal clear on the matter. I keep hearing and seeing in films, music and the media that america is the land of the free and it's supposed to be the greatest country in the world, the people are free and they have their liberty, etc. The Confederate states freely voted to be independent of a central, federal government thousands of miles away from dictating them how to live their lives and telling them what they can and can't do on their own lands and in their own homes. They wanted to govern themselves in relevance to their own local situation. So. By that vote those Confederate states were free. They were then obviously brought back into the union by force of arms because Lincoln refused to accept the will of people. You could say that in some context Lincoln was a dictator of sorts.

We were simple Southerners drawn into war and forced to answer violence with vengeance. Later we fought for our own cause and hit our enemies where it hurt the most. We alluded the nation's top Yankees only to be betrayed by some of our own. Years after the civil war America is still a deeply divided nation . in the former Confederate States our pride is as strong as ever. the south is hungry for a new set of heroes ,proud rebels who ain't afraid to challenge the Yankees stranglehold on our commerce and our freedoms, we are those heroes. Southerners remember the antebellum period has a time of great honor and great chivalry. We are living reminders of this lost cause. Nobody is doing more the disrupt the post war Yankee business than us. In the late 1800s and even today we are at the top of our game. To our neighbors we are freedom fighters , a band of Robin Hood's continuing the good fight against the Yankees. We create a hell of an excitement in this part of the country. BLM terrorist are turning on America and Southerners like us are caught in the crosshairs. Now nothing is going to keep us off the battlefield anymore. This is a battle to defend our way of life. We are heroes to some villains to others and remembered by all. Even today Confederates are remembered more as heroes then the Yankees are. Modern Confederates are the rebels that never surrendered.

My g-g-g grandfather served with the 3rd Louisiana Cavalry, Company C. I spent my first 40 years down south. Got tired of living in poverty. I now live in New Hampshire. Beautiful state. Lots of money to be made here. Met some genuinely good people here. I got no hatred in my heart. In his farewell address, Nathan B. Forrest wrote that the cause is lost and that we're Americans now and that we should act like it. I don't see too many southerners being able to do that. So be it, I guess. I've found my peace.

SITTIN' UP DRINKIN' WITH ROBERT E. LEE Taking a trip in my old Chevy, riding through the south I looked up on a hill, and I saw a big white house I caught a glimpse of a bearded man, polishing his sword I saw Robert E. Lee outside, sitting on the porch I pulled up in the yard and saw a cotton field out back Invited me to sit with him and share a fifth of Jack Yeah, Criss cross bars and thirteen stars blowing in the wind He said "Save your Confederate money boy, cause the South will rise again" And Robert E. Lee did not like them northerners one bit He was a rebel, and he knew it and he didn't give a shit We've been talking about Dixie and how old times used to be And I've been, sitting' up, drinking' with Robert E. Lee We talked about his troops and the rebel infantry And those thirteen southern states that were living in for me As he took another swing of his Black label whiskey He said "That Yankee pride don't mean a damn thing to me" He spoke about his man and how they always fought so brave And how they vowed their sacred flag though many lives they gave He struggled to gain independence for his southern ground He stood up for his cause and never once did he back down And Robert E. Lee did not like them northerners one bit He was a rebel, and he knew it and he didn't give a shit We've been talking about Dixie and how old times used to be And I've been, sitting' up, drinking' with Robert E. Lee Drink them up It was two o'clock AM and the fire was getting low So, I thanked him for our talk because it was time for me to go While walking to my car I turned to thank him once again But the lot was bare, there was nothing there but rocks and dirt and sand Was it my imagination playing with my head? I remember hearing clearly every single word he said Every movement, every gesture, every tear that his heart shed His dream is still alive, even though his body's dead Robert E. Lee's memory lives on in the southern soul Along with his boys who fought and died out in the cold Lee was a man with tons of courage, a hero without a doubt He was a man with determination, he was a man from the South And Robert E. Lee did not like them northerners one bit He was a rebel, and he knew it and he didn't give a shit He said "Son, I've got many stories to tell Ulysses S. Grant can kiss my ass and go to hell" We've been talking about Dixie and how old times used to be And I've been, sitting' up, drinking' with Robert E. Lee
