Love that it has inbuilt Timelapse feature. I use this in other software constantly for my KZbin & Insta videos. One thing that would add to this, is to have a setting where it automatically records everything. This way you don’t need to remember to turn on before painting…. Esp if working on big projects over days/months. Procreate on iPad does this so well… the option to export the video remains in the file so you can come back to it at anytime & export Timelapse.

I've been using the Rebelle timelapse for my youtube videos, and I am extremely impressed. Of all the programs I've tried, I like the output quality of Rebelle's timelapse the best. Just another thing to love about the program!

I have had Rebelle 5 for several years, only dabbling in it a couple of times, I guess, because I haven't been trained as a traditional oil or canvas painter, although, I was lucky enough to receive private art lessons from New York/Aspen, Colorado-based artist Nancy Lundy (Lundey? Lunde?) back in the very early 1970s who taught art in all of the mediums ... oil, acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, pastel, charcoal, sepia pencil, pen and ink, pencil, and pretty much everything and everything that could and can be applied to canvas, particle board, wood, etc. I think that what has held me back from diving in full force into using Rebelle 5 (I'll probably end up purchasing Rebelle 7 at some point) is the fact that I was not trained in a digital world, but in an analog one. That being said, I certainly got so used to using Adobe Photoshop over the last 28 years, that it was difficult for me to try and switch to another software program, seeing as how the interfaces tend to vary slightly, or sometimes a lot, and I have auditory dyslexia, so software interfaces tend to already be confusing, so I would just avoid them, rather than force myself to learn each one. Anyway, I love what I could potentially do in Rebelle, but just haven't gotten myself past the differences in its interface compared to the software that I've been using (Clip Studio Paint ... a.k.a. Manga Studio Pro EX 5) which I have grown to really love. But, I can't get all of the same effects in CSP that I can get in Rebelle. What I wanted to know, since I came here to figure out how to record my projects in my Rebelle 5 program, is that I noticed that not all of the selections in the recording window were or are available to me to select from. Does that have something to do with the fact that I had already used the default recording setting when I first created my canvas and it asked me if I wanted to record my work? Thank you for making this tutorial. It's greatly appreciated.

You can either set time-lapse recording in the New Artwork window or through Window > Record Time-lapse for the project.

I'm super-confused about how to export a complete video. It seems to export choppy little videos for every close and open session, rather than a complete timelapse.

If using the layer tracing feature will the tracing image appear in the recording or can it be hidden in some way?
@TheRealMightyHokie Жыл бұрын
Did you find a way to do this? We artists understand using a reference under our work, but non-artists will just see it as "tracing". But what some people see as "tracing" I see as "saving 5 hours". I'd love to be able to see my reference but it not turn up on the recording.

I don’t know why you would want to do this…. Except if your saying you draw freehand when you don’t. Other people learn off process videos, if your tracing they should be able to see that…. I have seen some videos that people are pretending they are drawing freehand in, but it’s obvious they are tracing over an image… (it makes no sense that they can draw freehand in that manner). If you trace, you trace…..be honest.

How to change the video recording's folder location for good? Every time I change it, it'll revert back to the default setting and my changed location won't keep.

It seems like it is a bug, we will take a look at it. Thanks for reporting it.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but you said if you just leave the screen capture running without laying down any brushstrokes it won't record, thereby essentially pausing the recording automatically until you resume. I tried that with a drawing a few days ago, but Rebelle wound up recording everything including the portion of my painting session when I wasn't doing anything, so my recording had a big chunk in the middle where nothing was happening, which I had to crop out later in Premiere while editing it. Is there no way to manually pause the screen capture so you can take a break, and then resume the recording where you left off once you return to work on the piece?

Hello, could you please specify which Rebelle version you use? We will further test this anomaly. The recording should pause automatically in idle time.
