Original book less than $12, but is now a priceless work of art. This whole series for sure blew my mind 🤯. The fact that you have learned paper marbling, metal etching, making your own tools, leather working, along with all of the general bookbinding skills, plus the camera work and video editing-just totally amazing. I truly hope to one day master a skill to this level. Very inspiring. The book and the video series are both magical works of art. Thank you so much 🙏.

I... what is there to say? I can't even find the words. I haven't binged, ANYTHING, in forever. I have not been left awestruck for so, so long. But this? I actively put off writing, and temporarily paused reading to watch each video entry one after the other. This is worthy of praise, and I cannot help but think Frank Herbert himself would be extremely, overwhelmingly happy with the insane amount of love and effort and skill you put into his beloved book. You should 1000% be proud of this, you have created something phenomenal. Something deserving of all the attention it can get.

@@lilangel97712 It's not (I think). This is his reference to the badge on the cover covering the world. The runes he engraved (beautifully!) are (I think from his comments) the Bene Gesserit "Litany Against Fear" "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Sir, I couldn't even begin to estimate the value of the finished work of art you have created from a 12$ internet book. Not just in the labor hours and the material but the skill involved across the spectrum of what it took to make it. Leather impression work, binding work, weaving leather, engraving metal, repairing damaged pages, and on and on. How many other book repair artists run a full set of skills like that? Back in the day, you would have been brought before the Lord or the King's Court to create just such masterpieces for their collection in order for them to claim to others they have in their possession what other Lord's and/or Kings do not. It's a Leonardo DaVinci sort of effect. You must be incredibly proud and to be able to accurately and calmly produce video on it as well must have taken enormous effort outside of the book itself. Well done!

This book needs to go to a collectors auction. I could not imagine what someone would pay for your work and intricate craftsmanship.

Not everything in life is about money! Why would you think he’d want to get rid of it more than the next guy who wants to spend a fortune on it? This attitude of yours is why you’ll never make anything worth selling!

This is a masterpiece. I was impressed by the solid craftsmanship seen in the first three videos, but this work of art blew me away. It's a beautiful pity to know that only one of these exists in the world.

I am a poor man, living on social security. If I were a Rich Man I would give you $10,000 for that book. You see, I consider doing the greatest novel ever written. And I believe you are produced the greatest copy of the greatest novel ever written. But I am a poor man and cannot give you this great prize. But what I can give you is my eternal gratitude for showing the world what a great book can be. My gratitude is not worth a penny, but I wish and I hope that my eternal thanks will compensate you for all the many hours of work until you put into the greatest book ever written in fiction

I came because of Dune (the first video in the series came up on my algorithm) but stayed because of the asmr of watching an artist practicing his craft. We'll done. Never thought I'd watch 2 hours worth of book binding, but here I am.
