@@sibongilemngomezulu3454 corporate environment was never created for many of us, that's why we have to be intentional with our spaces, who we let in and not and we can do that by choosing peace with who we marry/family at least there we have a say, we are heard, seen and allowed to be human. I always say if you want to know and see if a person is a true Christian or know God, go where there is money and power, corporate exposes a lot of characteristics of the Prince of this world because clearly toxicity is not the characteristics of God. Sometimes something happens to me and in my heart I will say there's only two kingdom in this life, kingdom of God and of darkness, there's no in between. People are serving their masters here on earth and sadly some are ignorance of whom they serve, but it is what it is. Eish but bread can put people in pain maan!. We need bread child!

My current job. It has broken me. So many sleepless nights and anxiety. I tried my hardest to push through because I mean I need the money and stability 😩 Today was my last last day ever at the company. Shuuu, totally relate to this. I used to cry on Sunday knowing that tomorrow is Monday and it’s work again, started therapy, went into depression, could only sleep by drinking Norflex and Adcodol 💔. I would start work at 5am and switch off around 9pm, I hardly had time to even eat but I’d still get a rating of 2/5. I changed jobs am I’m so happy with my manager, God really came through for me with this job, I’m valued and treated as the star I am.

I felt like this video was meant for me. Im not in coperate but let me say I've had my fair share of drama during the 9 years. Next year will be my 10th year in that same space, so a few days ago spirit said: "those people are characters in your story. I am using them so that you can be uncomfortable and leave that place." I can relate and the most painful part about corporate bullying is the fact that it’s hunts you even long after you have left the trauma of the experience hits so hard and it takes time for one to heal

I think it's always important to recognize that God uses everything for our ultimate good. It's important that we don't dwell too much on being the victim but learn to ask God what is it that He is trying to show us about ourselves in the situations we find ourselves in. A terrible boss will ultimately make you a better employee/Person. I'm not making excuses for their bad behavior but just saying there is always a blessing/reward/positive outcome to everything we encounter. #RebirthTuesdays.

I came out of a toxic relationship and joined a new company and it was toxic. My manager wasn’t toxic but other peoples managers were toxic and even if it didn’t affect me directly but i just didn’t like it. i left i couldn’t handle a toxic space my ex made sure i don’t tolerate nonsense😂. Now my current company i love it the is no toxicity here. Do your work and have fun while working thats it.

I know exactly what you talking about. I have experienced the same in different companies and at some point I thought I have badluck cause the same thing keeps on repeating itself. These kind of situations makes you question if you're really capable of doing the job, makes you feel worthless and stupid. It was tough. I handed over my resignation in two companies because of this treatment. I'm working now and the environment is toxic but I want to hang in there for atleast a year or so, that would be the longest I've been employed. Maybe my breakthrough is in the patience no matter how tough it is. I'm proud of how you took a bold step and headed in the direction where God has called you ♥️

This is so relatable. I think we all have a story to tell about toxic working environment, especially amongst the black community. You know the saying “The enemy of black is black” that saying is on point. Like we think that we have each others back because of the liberation but nah it’s the total opposite. I am glad you chose your peace more than anything Sisi.. we really need to have a conversation with this and how we as women are brining each other down! It’s so sad. What I like about this episode is how intentional you are with fasting and praying. God works wonders and we should sure learn to make prayer an intimate thing in our lives especially when you have in SA! People carry and bring their personal issues at work! My HR when you give her facts about something that you are not willing to do the next day she’s not going to speak to you. Or she will place you in the environment that is not your responsibility. Vital topic, especially for black women where workplace toxicity can be a result of so many factors and come from a range of individual groups. I'm currently in a season of shift as well, work has been a source of depression and anxiety for almost 2 years now. Go hectic, but God remains good and I can only pray for light at the end of the tunnel.

What you went you through is a form of harassment, we don’t know much about the levels of harassment that exist and we don’t know how to deal with it. I wish we could all be educated with how to deal with such situations in the workplace. We recently had training at work about such and I wish I knew all this earlier on in my career.

For me, i just dont enjoy the environment and the job itself. I have gone through depressive seasons a couple of times while working there. Like i know deep down that im not meant to be here but im scared of the unknown. But like the more I stay, the more i become uncomfortable and frustrated. Usually I was able to push but now i dont have the motivation for anything. My performance is suffering and that stresses me more. I want to leave but when i see that jobs are rejecting me left, right and centre, its kinda hard to just pack and leave. I wanna have peace bandla and be able to enjoy what i do and not just work for a paycheck I've been praying for months to God and asking Him to move me to a better environment. I could say more but yeah....
