I hope that in the future the buildings show their modifications more. Like, maybe if you convert an apartment to housing there can be clotheslines on the roof, or maybe pipes will stick out of the sides and have smoke where people have fires going. Board up destroyed windows, maybe have some stuff outside the entrance - little details that say, visually, 'People live here'

Yep, it's launching early access very soon, so I hope all these cosmetic and QoL things are being worked on in the background while we test the mechanics of the game. It sounds so promising, I really hope it can live up to the hype I have in my head 😅

Something amazing would be if there was an ”underground view” where you could like go down sewers, build bunkers, or facilities hidden from infected, this would also make some nice structures like collapsed sewers, or collapsed bunkers

metro tunnels, my city has a bunch of them and i want my settlement be underground and all i have to do is control the immediate surroundings of every metro exit, making little walled off redoubts, all connected by the metro

I once saw a rival KZbinr covering this months ago in a very early beta stage, and I see that the game has advanced a bit since then. But he is a type who finds indie games, and just does like 30 mins, then he's done with it, and it doesn't show everything, so I hope you'll keep going with this one.

You probably know this now but just in case: 1) you can queue up jobs by shift and right click for your squads. 2) You can also can construct as much or as little a building you want to by holding left click after you select the build order. So you could have a cookhouse being half a building and a warehouse another for example. Can't wait for this game. I did hear a rumour though it is going to be 30 quid for an early access game which is a bit steep IMO. Hopefully, it be more around 18 to 25 quid to get sales in so they finish this game proper.

LOL I'm literally falling out of my seat, I lived up there 10 miles away for most of my life. Know that city like the back of my hand. What are the chances? Great playthrough. Definitely seek out the UPS warehouse.. great amounts of stuff.

I love this game. Personally a favorite place is Kingscote kangaroo Island. It's Rural, but has enough to still be fun, and has everything you need. It's a good map to learn the game. Another location I loved with Tokyo city because it's so densely built up.

Yeah, I have played the prologue and I have had the game on my wishlist for quite some time now and it looks very promising, especially if the developers keep fixing stuff as they go along. I'm less concerned about finding my town to play in as I am over the actual gameplay, graphics and performance, the last one being oh so important.

If there was a zombie apocalypse, there's nowhere I'd rather be than my hometown, where I've lived my entire life. I won't say the town, but it's in eastern KY which has a bad reputation, but in an apocalypse scenario there's firearms/hunting bows in basically every house, plus people here grow their own food and can/preserve it and there's tons of food cellars that can feed me. the population is around 2000 give or take and in the hollers it's not densely populated and there's clean streams for water, not to mention a lot of us here use generators and oil lamps, and kerosene or propane heat anyway so we wouldn't freeze in winter. Generators make a lot of noise but they can be put down in basements or cellars to muffle the noise. I think I'd be alright.

I want a Post Apocalyptic Arma/Day Z… no zombies. Like does anyone remember Homefront? Where North Koreans invaded America. Or Medal of Honor, where they used real special operations soldiers their missions, and tactics. I want this technology to truly explore other simulations of how Global life & society can change to whatever factors. I want humanity to be prepared for whatever challenges we may face in the future. We must evolve, and there are people who deem topics around such, are too dangerous. Conflict and war is as old as time & human history, we don’t have to fully embrace it, but we can at least learn how to better & how to avoid it. Ala, “democracy” & “diplomacy”. Also I’m from Traverse City, part of my family belongs to the tribe in Mount Pleasant.

Just curious at 30:00 mark you're talking about tools and how rare they are. What if you chose and area that has a hardware store or even better yet a Home Depot or Lowes. Would that make tools be more readily accessible or would they still be rare to find? For instance, I know an area near me that has a Lowes and Home depot within 300 yards of each other and there is also a Target, Walgreens, Sams Club, Walmart and several fast food places and full on restaurants. Would choosing a place like that make it easier or harder or would the game mechanics still make certain items harder to find regardless? I really do like the premise of this game and want to see more before I make a decision to purchase it. Thanks for the videos.

So I know where hardware stores are in this town, and in the other towns in the area I’ve loaded: they all have “?” on them. If there is some bias towards tools being found in those buildings, it isn’t labeled for it

I have been playing for a month now and I must say large fenced bases are doable from the get go. In fact, that's my preferred strategy. I always start with all my defences designated with brick walls and metal towers. The base usually completes by day 20 and a larger compound by day 60-80. The upgrade to fortified though takes a lot of time and usually by then the saves get corrupted and I lose the playthrough.

Man, Screw COPS & DONUTS. They came into my hometown and bought one of the three remaining BEST damn bakeries in town (Dainty Maid) and pissed it down the toilet in less than 6 months after terminating all the staff that had been there for decades.

IDK where your hometown is… but you should realize they are franchising, meaning the owners of the bakeries in Clare and Mt Pleasant, aren’t the same people that own your hometown one. Independent people that just pay for the branding.
