those white intake ``spacers`` as you called them are actually thermogaskets... they are thicker better insulated intake gaskets to help the intake manifold not absorb as much engine heat from being connected with a typical metal gasket. they are reusable as well. nothing wrong with them what so ever and are actually pretty expensive. look into them before discarding
@Piotrush91
@Piotrush91 Жыл бұрын
They were installed incorectly. You have to use a two standard gaskets on each side and put the termoshield/heatshield gasket beetwen those standard gaskets.

@@Piotrush91 Unless they are the Teflon type some malaysian sellers have. Those are said not to need the gaskets
@grantgilpin5672
@grantgilpin5672 Жыл бұрын
@@Piotrush91 incorrectly, these were either cheaply made of damaged. They do not require 2 gaskets (one per side) to properly seal... They are designed to be a DIRECT replacement gasket and be reusable. Go search for them and provide me one link where the manufacturer of the gaskets state they require 2 extra intake manifold gaskets to properly seal 🤦 every ad I see says direct replacement gasket, including the skunk2 ones for Hondas and such. I have an intake manifold and throttle body thermal gasket for my car installed without any extra gaskets or sealer and it's not causing any vacuum leaks or anything..
@grantgilpin5672
@grantgilpin5672 Жыл бұрын
@@Piotrush91 stop talking out of your ass and do some research first dude. Maybe if it was designed to be a spacer but they aren't, they are specially designed to be replacement gaskets to reduce heat soak to the intake manifold and be reusable unlike alot of Intake gaskets
