Devin is going to be running 3 Subaru STI's with crawford engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

I think you have a very organized work method and you'll soon run into problems with the engines... I think that's fantastic 👍 as for the new tools, there's a little corner over there on one of the walls of the workshop... they're very useful for that type of engines. Nice job bro... Bro, You probably already know this, but there are two extra holes on the hood for the hood struts to attach to and it makes it so much easier with the hood basically vertical to hoist the engine in and out. It’s like a service mode.

Holy moly! Never seen a Subaru engine tear down before, that engine looks complicated AF! Just watching you tear that engine apart gave me anxiety, And this is another reason why I would never get a Subaru, unreliable and complicated engine design. I’ll stick with my Hondas 😂… btw we need more Honda content, get a 8th gen Honda Civic Si and rebuild it, that would make great content.

What blows my mind about these cars is how dirty the oil was in that engine when you were taking it apart, These cars were over 40 grand, You would think spending that much money people would at least change their oil, 99 percent of failures on these engines are owner related and operator error as this one clearly was from lack of service

I'm new to Subaru land. It's a bit unnerving how many of these things blow up. Do the Boxer engines just suck?
@GHOSTERING
@GHOSTERING Жыл бұрын
It's not the engine suck, it's how you used it. They are fragile, if you hit the redline all the oil go in the top of the engine while the bottom is empty. As long as you dont run it like a idiot the engine should be fine. I have a friend who have a 2019 WRX and he never blew up his engine, only one transmission failure and it was not his fault. If you planned to tune a boxer engine or change some part for aftermarket be careful cuz they dont really like being modified until you forged them. They are great engine, but they are tricky to use and that's why most of the time they blew up, a bad tune or a bad use and they blew up.
@artblackwood7936
@artblackwood7936 Жыл бұрын
@@GHOSTERING So what you're saying is that they are not great or durable. "They are fragile" = They suck. "They don't like being modified" = They suck. I get it. That's exactly how I'm going to treat it. They still suck.
@GHOSTERING
@GHOSTERING Жыл бұрын
@@artblackwood7936 they are not super reliable if you treat them bad, if you dont hit the redline and dont do crazy thing those engine are fun. They have some good modification to do on them ro make boxer engine more reliable than stock

@GHOSTERING
@GHOSTERING Жыл бұрын
@@thegoyanator3256 You dont understand what i'm saying, yes they are performance car. You dont need to hit redline to have fun, i drove my friend WRX 5 times and just doing some little pull i was having fun. They are just not made for speed, they are rally car. The way Devin build them of course is for speed, but he spend a lot of time and money. I just remember all those build engine that he blew up, they are just tricky. If you want a Subaru, be prepare to spend money. Personnaly i am waiting my brand new Hyundai Elantra N. Just like what you want, anyway every performance you need to be prepare to spend a lot of money
