In this episode we continued to rebuild the m50 for my e36 drift car. Focusing on refreshing the head after getting it back from the machine shop who decked and washed it. The first task was to strip the head to be able to remove the value stem seals. To help remove the valve springs a valve spring compressor was used (see link below), 3D printed out of PLA. The valve stem seals were challenging to remove (recommend using the special tool). The valves were cleaned up using a scotch pad and lapped to improve their seal with the head. The stem seals were replaced and the reserve disassembly order was followed to place the springs and valves back into the head using the 3D printed tool. The head is now ready to be mated to the bottom end which will be assembled in the next episode.
