Love the Z3 platform, and work you put in to it to get it back on the road. Last year there was one for sale for about 4k euros, and that was the 1/2 of the regular price. Since they are so expressive for a project car, I got myself and compact that has many similarities as the z3, and i'ts also fun to drive. Cheers mate!

The 1.9's are a great car. You dont have to have the 2.2 or 2.8 etc. These drive great. Yes not quick but still fun to drive

Cool video, just one thing... why 1.9 ? I just don't see a reason to save this exact motor combination unless you have different plans for it (swap ? track car ? Drift car?)| Looking at the frame rails shell seems to be in decent state, just that 1.9 does not make any sense

Honestly I wish it wasn't the 1.9... but buying from copart kinda limits your ability to choose. No other reason than that. It feels very similar to a miata... I don't think it will be competitive vs a miata, but it has that feel power wise. BUT I (6ft tall) fit much better in the Z3 than I did in any NA miata I've owned... so that's a plus :)

@@JTay187 kind of true on that choice - got a genesis coupe form copart and hit the 2.0 just by accident so i do that. well... waiting for next video on progress.

Doesn't seem hardly worth it. Unless you just enjoy projects. Maybe I'm a bit off, but it seems like if you look around you can find a used one with 4 cylinder, automatic, and clear title for around 5-7 thousand. I picked up a a clear title 2.5 liter with manual a couple years ago for 7k with 60,000 miles.

No one wants a 4 cylinder auto.... and i paid way less than 5-7k for this... so I dont understand your point....
