Hi Yuri. Why don't you cover the gastank cap with a wet cloth ? It will be safer when welding. You covered it for painting, but for the most important not. Be safe bro. Love your work and energy.

To be honest I have done it so many times without issues that I don’t even think about it. I do not recommend doing it this way and will try and be more safe next time.

Hey Yuri, I have a question on welding body panels. Is it better to over build your welds on the seem lines and grind it back or is it better to just weld it without over heating it and use a body filler. I’m replacing rocker panels on my 2003 Chevy rustarado. 2500HD.
@23RD2 жыл бұрын
Get your seam as tight as possible then weld in different spots to minimise warping. I always try to do one quick weld so as to prevent deformation of the metal.

Finally wedding new panels on the car. Goes some way towards the mind numbing job of drilling out spot welds having done that x 1000 of times, and that's only on my own repaired cars not a body man by trade but adapt easily to other trades, awesome job guys
@jacoblyseng9697 Жыл бұрын
not how ur supposed to fix the quarter panel. Bmw repair method is with blind rivets and 2k panel bond. Not welding. Only 4 spots of weld at the door opening and welding the c pillar. Rest is bonding.

Brother needs a chassis guy to look at mustang build. Any chassis builder can tell you the front geometry is a mess. Roll centers aren’t even close to start with. Caster camber gains… another mess. Than bump steer. It wont be drivable. 🤦♂️
