Is there a terrible noise coming from the font end of your Charger? Are you worried that one more pot hole will lead to catastrophic failure? Jeff was! He got quoted $3500 in labor and hadn't visited in a while, so he brought his car to us in Alabama so we could see just how bad it was and give this front end an overhaul with a kit that he bought off of Amazon. This video is not meant to be step by step tutorial, but will give you a good idea of what is involved with doing a project like this.
Parts used:
Front Suspension Kit: amzn.to/3Xt7ygO
Brake Kit: amzn.to/3EkJLH3

Great vid. Trick - have the new balljoint sitting in the freezer while you are removing the original. Slides in like butter, especially if you also heat the knuckle. excellent walk through!

The slots in the arms are for adjustment when you use the bolts that have slots cut in them, they give + or - 0.30° for camber or caster

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I just did this on my 2010 challenger and wish I saw this first! Just wondering, after the install, were there any clunks/pops/creaks that stuck around or were created by the job? Have the parts lasted?

Mine is a 2011. The dusk cover did not come off after removing the 3 bolts. It spin around on there. May the 2012 has a section that is empty of the metal? Mine would not come off unless I remove that wheel bearing.

@Perpetual Projects I asked because I ordered a suspension kit from Amazon and the the grease fitting that came with it didn't fit the tire rodes did you have that same issue? And I think I've found a solution of just using a needle end for the grease gun to eject right into the boot

Absolutely, you want to tighten down all the bushings in the position they will be in at ride height because they don't rotate once they are tightened. Thanks for the tip.

Only when it’s time to tighten the pivoting bushing parts, like the inner parts of the upper, lower, and tension strut, as well as the strut bolt on the lower control arm. And end links.

Amazon don’t make parts… it’s all third party out like advance auto, Napa and autozone and so on. I started questioning the video when you used a regular socket on and impact to remove the lugs.😂 Other than that great job/video.
@PerpetualProjects
@PerpetualProjects 8 ай бұрын
Thank you, if I remember right, those wheels don't have enough room for an impact socket. I could be wrong though that was a year ago.

So the only thing I’m having a hard time with is replacing all of these factory parts that total up to close to $3000 with junkie Chinese ones that could possibly break and actually cause catastrophic failure. I’m having a really hard time right now deciding on what to do.

@PerpetualProjects

They are better than the wore out stuff that was on there. While it could last longer with all factory parts, it isn't always feasible to spend that much on 10 year old car with a bunch of miles that isn't worth the cost of the replacement parts.
