It happens so keep trying. And it looked like you didn't have that last seal on correctly and remember bench bleed it helps get the air out and also make sure your brakes shoes are adjusted.

dennis culpepper trying 2 get the brakes on this one was maddening! We put the seals on the same way they came off. We bled everything what seemed a million times we did get it stopping eventually though! 😜

So the rebuild kits I found were NOS ATE kits all the number on the box are 73 203 3.0370-4019.2 G 194 I hope this helps. I will say if you're looking for parts and great help checkout ISP West they have been awesome for me! If they don't show something on the site shoot them an email. Thanks for checking out the vids

Idk if u could help me but I got a replacement master cylinder for my ‘66 Vw beetle. When it is pressed its like the brake line holes and pressure switch hole are all plugged. Could it be the check valve at end of the spring?

Yes for just about every vw out there you find in expensive aftermarket master cylinders for early type 3's and first year type 3 disc brake cars no one makes them or rebuilds them it's almost impossible to find even the rebuild kits.

There's not much to it is there!?Wouldn't a bug master cylinder work? They look similar on your bench... Keep crackin' at you'll get it!!

VeeDub P8 a big one might but I’d have to re-work the lines the bugs come out the top and the type 3’s are on the bottom.... I think I might have some adjustment issues on the rears or something..... even though I’ve checked about 10 times! I’ve never had these kind of issues on any VW!
