For the transmission fluid you can buy the ZF Lifeguard 8 fluid, it's identical to the BMW 8 speed fluid but much cheaper.

great work as usual.. about the kicking u out of gear issue, just make sure all doors, hood, trunk are closed (maybe faulty sensors), or try swapping out the negative battery cable again (restraint errors) or double check if bmw started using pyro fuses since it is a new car. I had a similar issue on a bmw i rebuilt mine was a bad hood sensor

It’s to late now, but for the future remember whenever replacing engine components such as oil pan/ oil filter housing. Anything that like that you need to prime the oil prior to starting. Not doing so your taking a risk of harming the engine.
@joka5684 Жыл бұрын
I was about to post this very thing. Excellent way to fry your bearings unless you prime the oil system.

I had no doubt in my mind that you would get this car running. As for the transmission, I feel the car might need some code cleared before it engages the car's gears. Brilliant work, keep it going like butter (from my perspective at least; I know it's not been easy).👍🏾

Nice work !! I am a BMW mechanic and impressed with the work that you do ! If you replace the battery next time Connect a a charger and set it on Supply mode. This helps prevent peak current . What can possible damage some expensive electronics. And dont forget to register the battery in the system . Important for Some systems to work correctly. Thumbs up from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 👍🏼

I believe the reason the transmission is kicking you back to park is because of all the airbag codes in the computer. I believe that is design into the safety system of the car. If you are in an accident is that made the airbags deploy they don't want you to pass out with your foot on the accelerator. When the computer sensors went I believe in sent a code to the transmission and more than likely the engine. Since the engine able to run without the transmission working I believe that would be a different safety system. Since the car knows that there was an accident it's protecting you by keeping it in park. I really look forward to following you through this build. I most definitely hit the like button and subscribe.
