Rebuilding Havant Aclew - Episode 14 - Hornby Platforms - keep or replace?

This video and its accompanying narrative was made over a period of about six weeks. During this time, as you can see, I had some issues with the old Hornby platforms which lead to a change of heart and a change of plan. The video follows the reasons behind this change and the subsequent building of completely new platforms and platform fences.

A well-made and thoughtful video. You make some good observations. Most modellers these days live in small houses and will not have room for a large layout. Keeping the project within the area of a Trakmat is a good idea, and you have shown what can be achieved with a little imagination. Thanks for uploading.

Thanks for your kind comments. Over the years I have built various sized layouts, some quite large and to be honest this 6 by 4 is giving me the most pleasure. I see you too have a small layout based on the Southern. Regards Keith
