Jato is my first love. It was my first Nitro and I still love it. Don't buy RDLogics duel pipe. It doesn't run right. Not enough pressure on the fuel line return.
@rc_teo_nade_2164 жыл бұрын
Just a fact that this type of engines can work without any backpressure in the fuel tank you but when you don't have back pressures you have to retune it or make it rich so it will suck up the fuel

you need an electric starter I have a Jato 3.3
@nickwoodruff33217 жыл бұрын
As do I and it most certainly doesn’t “need” the ez-start. A good old recoil and a glow igniter is the way to go, imo.
@rabbitfootedkitty13395 жыл бұрын
@@nickwoodruff3321 Yeah yuck, I "upgraded" to a pull start with a igniter and it is much less frustrating than hearing the easy start motor getting slower... and slower... All you need is a working arm, and a couple of c batteries

That was so awesome to see you take that whole car apart and watch it run might have to do the same for mine what settings did you have your needles at I look online and don't really understand exactly I learn better visually than thru text thanks a ton I can't wait to see more upgrades and run videos. I have 3 cars inspired by your videos and they run fantastic so fast yet so durable you make some great cars and have some awesome ideas for them

If you’re running a Traxxas engine I’m sure the specs for carb adjustment would be online, they provided me with a booklet when I swapped out my 2.5 for a 3.3 for their power up program.
@kevinnorman25883 жыл бұрын
4 turns out on the hp needle be gentle not to over tighten it just till it bottoms out and then mess with your low speed and idle they do effect each other

I remember doing this to my used jato I bought years ago. This makes me want to get it going again. My motor needs a new crank, crankcase, and crank bearings. It’s prettymuch shot at that point so I will try to get a new one altogether. If I remember right, something busted in my tranny as well, it quit shifting into second no matter how much I adjusted the shift point and snugged up the slipper. I cant remember if I fixed it or not. That’s what happens when I put trucks into storage with issues....I never remember the full extent of the problems, haha!
@michaelclarke17794 жыл бұрын
Wow, Thank you so much. You answered every single question I had on my rebuild. Your attention to detail is 100% Epic. I’m truly envious! I wish I wasn’t so lazy and spent that extra time as you’ve done!!! If by Any chance you get your hands on the Rustler 4x4 VXL or a ARRMA talion to rebuild PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW! SO DAM GOOD!

I got a jato 3.3 back in 2013 for my first nitro rc car. Probably not a good choice for a first nitro rc car but whatever lol. It would be great if you made some more videos of your jato if it's still around. I guess I should put some money where my mouth is and donate some rmp a arms for it or somthin. I went to a skate park recently with my jajo and got about 20 seconds of driving before I busted a rear a arm after one small 5 foot jump that landed upside down. How embarrassing.
@kevinnorman25883 жыл бұрын
Yup fun cars but very fragile fun times though lol rustler spindles swap over though and helps with durability and let's you run hex wheels
@jackdurden4663 жыл бұрын
In no way do I trust myself to completely strip apart a Jato, and get it back together. Sure, I could take it apart, easy. And I could clean it. Also easy. And I could get the upgrades to the point if requiring a bank loan. However, rebuilding it? No freaking way!
@chadpennington4594 Жыл бұрын
Puling mine apart again and adding hop up parts to get rid of weak points. I destroyed it a couple weeks ago doing 50..right into a wooden 4x4 mailbox post. HA! Parts are cheap but not when they all break at once🤣

yet another "how to" video on how to work on a R/C Traxxas truck... look some common sense goes along way.. if a part is broke .. figure out how to take it apart and fix it... these trucks are build tough but easy as hell to take apart.........

What's the difference between a jato and nitro rustler? They look the same from the outside?
@justinbarber83327 жыл бұрын
Nate 07 The NR has a completely different chassis and suspension. The Jato is a newer generation of 2wd stadium truck. Think of what the Revo was to the TMaxx.

Any chance you have the original for this video, not sped up? Odd request but I’ve just found my old jato in my mums garage and need to finish off putting it back together, finding it very difficult to work out what bits I have missing (suffered a front end collision 6 & half years ago) I bought a spares and repairs chassis actually included the engine which is a 2.5 but my 3.3 has only had a matter of hours use lol

There are 2 things I love about nitro trucks not being the one wasting his life with one and watching others waste their lives with theirs. Sorry but the time and frustration suffered and wasted working on and tuning a chemically fueled vehicle is not in any way worth it imo. For every minute you drive one there is like 3 mins of work and tuning you have to pay later. I mean I kind of understood it back in the day when nitro was faster than electric but that is now far from true.
