MagDrills are amazing. Just remember to keep sweeping the swarf away from work area and always wipe or blow the bottom of the magnet off every set up. That magnet attracts a lot of chips.

People might think an electric fan is better, until they realize you are powering it with a measly 40 amp alternator. All the efficiency benefits go out the window when your alternator is maxed out. All the parts look great this episode, my only beef is that you didn't take the time to make a new lower hole for the fan shroud.
@JustinPaul1st2 жыл бұрын
Second you on the shroud issue 👍upgrade that alternator to a 60or 80 AMP Bosch from that ND Nippon Denso and then you won't have that concern about Ampage and efficiency ...We did that to our 88 Cressida years ago and no issues☝☝☝

Nah use a 73 Malibu Chevy one wire Alternator,Toyota alternators r shit, 110 Amp, eliminate all the other shit that comes with it, electric fan, b done with it! Cost me $56 dollars for a hot rod chrome plated 73 Malibu alternator, looks great!
@unclejesse882 жыл бұрын
@@ericwright6672 it would probably be a good idea, if I remember correctly he installed an amp with the stereo. Shoot, the stereo and the giant distributor is probably 40 amps alone hahahah.

Really nice work Austin. On those coolant return/supply lines for the heater core, you might look into using the ones from the 1989-1995 Toyota Pickup w/ 22RE. If you look at the videos on my channel, I show them in some of the videos. They are hard lines from Toyota which run under the header on the left side of the block as well as a line which run under the intake on the right side of the block. You might have to cut/weld them, but they might be a nice option to help avoid heat from the header damaging any rubber hoses. Anyway, really nice work; enjoying your build and the videos. Thank you for showing the tools you use as well - very helpful!

I use a mag drill quite a bit and it seems like my cutters last longer when I put more pressure on them and use cutting fluid it puts more the heat into the chips and less into the cutter therefore making the cutter last longer. And btw that engine is looking gorgeous!
