Austin I have seriously stopped being amazed by your fab skills and work in general. Are you kidding lol... your doing an amazing job. It looks absolutely fantastic. This is the best stages of any build. It's the 'wow" stage. Because at the end of each step you stand back and wow.... and it getting closer to the finish. You're a master craftsman Austin. I appreciate your work ethic. Your attention to detail. You don't spend a lot of time talking and "teaching ".. quick explanation and get after it. Your editing skills are such one almost forgets that you are not doing all this in the time frame of this video... but over a couple of weeks. As always looking forward to seeing what's next. It looks great 👍

Then as I was watching I was like hell yeah cut something else off you kick ass forming metal! Now I cant decide whether I like the frame build or this body work! Either way, bad ass brother!!!

Try a kneeling the steel before you try and bend it best way I've found to do it is to take oxyacetylene mix it rich words putting out black smoke run it over your steel until it's blackened and then heat it until the black burns off that's when it is annealed and it will be softer to bend doing a great job though awesome work!
@michaelrotsheld276511 ай бұрын
I know you mention it every so often but as far as equipment goes, any plans in doing a short video covering the minimum essential equipment to do the metal fabrication like you do on the FJ? If not, can you just reply with a quick list? Going to start restoration on my FJ next month and would love to know what you think the essentials are on a tight budget. Thanks for the great videos! Now you got that shweeet roller it you can mold a piece of 3/8 round rod behind that fender edge. Just completes it, saves on cuts and strengthens it. . My 2 cents. Looks bangin tho bro, thats a big undertaking!!

That might work, but the edge of the fender is pretty much flush with the edge of the inner fender so there really isn’t a sharp edge there!’

Great to see you fixing up the body work. I thought you might leave it like you did on the white low rider toyota truck. Not sure what your plans are for the finish, but a bedliner type of coating will be very durable and also forgiving with the body work. Go with a tintable bedliner and it would look very nice.
