Getting that teeth done is not funny. It sounds like a great adventure. But trust me it's not comfortable. Mine was done early in the morning. I had to go and finish a job before sundown. A customer asked me why we're so rough among each other in the factory. I could not realy answer because of the swelling and numbness. Only later realised my mouth was bleeding all over my overalls. It's too bad your dentist didn't make a CEE-style video of your dental surgery. "As you can see, this molar's had a lot of wear and that lets a lot of debris get in there. Rather than ordering a new tooth from the manufacturer we'll be replacing it with a titanium insert. We can see that the last person to work on it did a real shoddy job which led to the incisor being pushed out of alignment so that one's gotta come out too."

Thank you Kurtis and Karen, it was so enjoyable being back on the Franna Crane, I was feeling down for health reasons, fired up my computer with low expectations but low and behold, Franna Crane winch rebuild, as you Aussies say you little beauty see I can leave the swearing out now and again as well, I am going into hospital some time this year to have the train wreck that are my teeth, and having them all removed, I wish I had done it much earlier, I am 63, 64 this July so I am having sod all back in my mouth, my Dad used to be able to break pear drops with his gums, I will just have to wait until my ones harden to that standard, might get a set off falsers but that will be my meat eating set, Thanks both off you for cheering up an old man, Jim from Scotland, Homey, George and his side kick, you are all a great team.

Happy to see a Franna vid again, and glad your operation was a success, hopefully not too much pain.

Commenting for the sake of supporting the channel, but it is true enough to warrant saying. When it's all said and done, Karen will be more proficient a machinist than many others; I can see her noticing the nuance and detail of the craft, and quite frankly that is an admirable quality that makes a fella hot and bothered, wishing he had such company and companionship. Thanks you three. And homeless dropping the toy, when he understood the parameters of the exchange, priceless. Love that goof ball, he reminds me of some friends with four feet that I've known.

Hi guys! What a beautiful job rebuilding that winch. I suspect there are a few Equipment Managers around the country right now that just saw how they can save a ton of money on their planned crane overhaul. It's really a first-rate rebuild. Well done! Kurtis, sorry for the pain and having to adapt to a new mouth, but I know from friends that have had it done that it was worth it. My closest mate went the full way on the implants 10 years ago. He said that the trauma of the mouth work wasn't the problem...it was getting used to talking, swallowing, eating and drinking with a new mouth that he had to adjust to. But he said that happened quickly (like getting used to glasses) for him. Looks to me like you're already there! Be well and thanks again, guys! Cheers.

WOW you are so brave .. at 79 years my teefies are not in the best of health . you are looking a tad strained and hopefully on the mend after your epic decision to get rid of the old and in with the new .Now that would make a super video Curtis,s new teef . rebuilding the crane is my favorite viewing and following your mouth surgery on video would be epic . Maybe there are some video,s around which oversee the procedure you have endured .I wish you a speedy and successful recovery .

Ahhh, My favorite time of the week. It's Kurtis and Karen time and not to forget the loveable Homeless doggy too. Hi folks ! Oh my, I had teeth that pained and blood me as long as I can remember. I had dentures but they never fit well so now I just don't care and eat without them. The only things I can't eat are fresh vegies, nuts from the shell and corn on the cob. Having them out was the best thing I have ever had. Onward to the winch and more happy times with you folks. Well Kurtis I love the way and choices you make for shop toys and all the different equipment you choose for the shop and yourself. All, top notch. $ don't seem to be a barier. The better the pieces an extra $ is a natural part of quality. On assembly it is sooooo important to be damned carefull with how much much hammers need to be used. Damage caused here will come back to get us in a moment and all the way down the isle. I see the result of big hammers used when they should not be used at all. Many times lead to a failure down the line. WooHoo, It's really hard to budget some things. From what I saw there was work done off the shop. Hydraulics are sooooo expensive. Just one bad swash plate can senda job flying over a budget in no time. You know exactly what you have here. See you soon folks. Take care eh.

If the rest of the crane rebuild gos as well as the winch then this will be the nicest crane in all of Aussieland for sure. Love the bird and Homeless still makes me laugh a lot. He's the best dog.

If the dentist has watched your videos I guess he feared being 0.1 mm out of spec in the teeth assembly, and did his most accurate work ever. Congrats 😊🎉

Hope for a speedy recovery and no adverse effects to your business. Thank you for the video, even though I know you may be in pain, and this isn't your 1st priority after major jaw surgery.
