In life you see a great artist maybe once. In life a great machinist never. This is a forgotten trade. I only wish that some young guy or girl sees your talents. And hopefully it will inspire them to be a greater person/machinist as you sir. I tip my hat👍

I was wondering, if some of those voids in the welding could have been caused by the spray when you sprayed the tip of the welder? It looked to me like some of the spray went beyond the tip and hit the inside of the bore.

Can you put an oversized piston in the cylinder to save having to replace the barrel and get away with a bit more of a hone out if needed?

Hey Curtis, I know it's a big part but always try to clamp over something solid like over the jacks. Never clamp over air so to speak. It puts distortion into the part. 👍

Thank you Kurt, I use your channel as my university. I learn a lot every time I watch your videos As a matter of fact, I just finished rebuilding my dirt bucket based on many videos I have watched from your channel. One of the best things you do is explaining every detail of what you're doing . I just have to add that I am self educating myself in welding That you CEE
