The struggle as the one cheated on emotionally or physically is regaining trust. I was so trusting- with this man- it eats at my soul because I just cannot seem to get the trust back. I love him- just struggling with trusting again. I want my brain back-

Same. Caught him talking to one woman. Took him back. Then I found out there were others he talked to. Don't know if there was anything physical because he refuses to be honest and transparent. Love him so much and trusted him blindy and it hurts that he could betray me with such ease.

When there is no repentance and change, there is no way to salvage the marriage. I gave him 43 years and he kept being unfaithful. I decided it was time to end this mess and file for The voice this year. The papers are in the court and the end is just around the corner. He is deeply regretting what happened but there is no love or trust anymore. Make sure that when you do the ultimate betrayal you are ready to really really leave because otherwise the most deepest pain is what you're going to experience and the only thing comparable probably is the death of a child. Don't make the mistake of going into an illicit relationship and later regretting.

This is a powerful testimony. Thank you for this. I have been so grateful to have found the work of The Marriage Foundation and Paul Friedman, who are helping men and women to truly love one another in marriage. We are not taught how to do this incredibly important relationship, which impacts everyone around the marriage, couple and the family, and ultimately society. Thank you so much for this vulnerable and valuable sharing from the heart. 🙏🏼♥️

Why would a man make sacred vows to you if he is just going to break them? Too often, women are told to just deal with infidelity especially if "he only did it once" and to submit to abuse yet if a woman did anything wrong she would be in big trouble. I'm sorry but we as a society and as a church need to teach that adultery is wrong, not "Oh, it's OK. She'll stay with you, where's she gonna go. It was just a mistake."
@1Corinthians6Verses9thru11
@1Corinthians6Verses9thru11 3 жыл бұрын
Well technically... (whether it's the husband or wife) that is cheated on, the offended party has biblical permission for divorce in this scenerio (and only in this scenario); but I'm not saying that the offended party SHOULD take this route, but that it's allowed in this one case. But whether it was the man or woman in the marriage, Christians should be consistent with this either way; adultery is equally sinful whether it's a husband or wife that commits it.

I've seen it work the other way. Its wrong on a number of levels and should be called out equally. Its a form of theft and no-one will convince me otherwise.

That being said, we would encourage you to check out our broadcast with Bob and Audrey Meisner - bit.ly/3Npt149. In this conversation, Bob and Audrey describe how God's grace led them along the hard road to reconciliation and restored their marriage after Audrey's infidelity. We hope this helps. Getting it out there in the open is important in the healing process. And, once you recover from it and can help others it shrinks the issue somewhat and makes it easier to let it go. You won’t heal from something unless you acknowledge it and work through the pain of it. I’ve been there so I understand them taking about it and trying to help others.

Whenever Mark (husband) would try to explain & talk through how he was feeling, Jill (wife) would constantly talk over him & shut him down. It makes me wonder if her lack of manners & willingness to not hear what her husband truly had to say was part of his "list". Perhaps what made him frustrated & to seek another relationship??

The marriage can, but seldom is stronger as a result of an affair occurring in a marriage. Don’t deceive yourself. The continual reminders of your wife being with another man for many years is a daily struggle and just can’t lead to a trustful relationship. The person who is betrayed lacks trust, withdraws from friendships - total healing? No, we will get that in heaven if we get there.

I like this but there shouldn’t be blame on the victim. It’s very sad that you would encourage women to “look at themselves” when they’ve been cheated on. There’s no woman in the world that doesn’t have flaws and makes mistakes in a relationship. Cheating is something people decide to do completely on their own. Marital issues have nothing to do with cheating. Cheating and unfaithfulness is usually something people decide to do even before they get married. It’s how and who’ve they’ve chosen to be.

A man cannot get certain images out of his mind from being betrayed by a cheater wife. How in the world can a man even kiss his wife again on the lips after where they and her tongue were? A wife's adultery is more wicked and disgusting than a mans. And how could he have relations with her wondering how he "measures up" with her stud lover? Adultery is a marriage destroyer. Im not saying miracles cant happen but it literally takes a miracle.

May I ask... ¿?WHY¿? You have this thought? Like, Seriously you think it's oooo so different for women?? Why are women always the one thats"Supposed to be STRONGER,N HANDLE IT" IT GOES BOTH WAYS PERIOD!! NO DIFFERENT FOR WOMEN THEN IT IS A MALE!! INFIDELITY IS INFIDELITY ITS NOT MAN VS WOMAN OR VICE VERSE!! Either way Cheating on your spouse is JUST AS HURTFUL being a male or female it has no gender! Betrayal is Betrayal , Lieing is Lieing, Cheating is Cheating! There is no different definition based upon your Gender... There is also no different instructions for healing based upon gender!
