I've blown enough clutch slave cylinders on my 3000GT that I keep a spare in the back. Easy to replace but man it'll ruin your day if it goes out on you while you're out somewhere. Cool to see you restoring one, keep up the good work!

Well done mate, I've been where you've been with my Gto. It sucks when you get let down by a garage but when you get it all up and working on your own it's such a buzz. Love the battery you're running, good weight saving by the looks of it. Well done mate.

Ahhh man you should really take this thing out in the snow if you haven't! You may have in the past but I've had my vr4 out and it's an absolute tank in like 2-4" of snow! Lol it's actually hard to play with lol but yeah keep up the good work and keep figuring out the bugs for me while I save up the money to do what you've done with my 93 vr4! lol

@Huracan ian you'd be surprised what these chassis are capable of lol I'm in WV so I know all about that lol mine held up way better than a lot of other cars I've owned lol but yeah an underbody treatment is definitely recommended...btw I really appreciate your videos man! You've showed everyone a lot about a lot of the common struggles of mitsubishi engineering lol and after watching those videos I'm definitely getting a better garage to work on mine before I even get started lol I'm going to need the room

The brake line to the slave cylinders could be bent happend to me on civic and took me a few days to realize.
@classys-chassis64332 жыл бұрын
It will slowly draw air look where it meets the slave cylinders and if there are any bubbles that's the issue the clutch line.

Huh ? That was my buddy I had it so all he had to do is hit the + to add fuel to the full map so it would not go lean if it got to lean he could just make the full map rich
@mynameispremo2 жыл бұрын
That clutch issue was literally the last thing that happened before I parked mine for the winter. It’s the discoloration that’s really sayin’ something. I don’t know anything for sure yet but my thought is that the rear turbo is burning up the clutch fluid and making it gas off… especially when sitting idling for a while with no airflow. I ordered some turbo blankets for my 16g’s and also plan on getting heat sleeves for my lines. Staying away from exhaust wrap though because I’ve seen them accelerate cracking. Of course it could also be AFR’s. Too rich and your turbos light up burning the extra fuel. Too lean and your turbos light up under the extra exhaust heat and pressure. But since your plugs look pretty good that might not be the issue. It’s all just a theory at this point but maybe it’s some info that’ll help out. Good luck man.
@huracanian30512 жыл бұрын
I mean yeah that makes sense... but my line is so long that I have it running down by the mountains not really by the exhaust or the turbo u know ?

Is your BOV open atmosphere? Probably the reason why it leans out when you let off the throttle

Idk if you have let the car sit awhile since the last time you bled it or tried to use it but whenever I leave mine for over a month it’ll loose all clutch prsssure. Also from a cold state might be something to do with that. Very strange tho.
