Joined rec room in December of 2016. The game has changed so much and is a lot better now. I wish I could say the same about the community though. I'd definitely quit because of the toxic players, but my friends make me stay. Lots of nostalgia, thanks for the video.

well the game is slightly better since the new big changes. i would quit because of the toxics yet i do like messing with them. i'm already making a video about one toxic kid who's mom wont stop coming into their room. its gonna be funny i'll tell ya. 😂 hope i'll finish it soon

Screenmode doesn't have it in the tutorial (Not sure about orientation tho) but in games like paintball it says clear as day "VR players can Walk or Teleport"

I joined late 2020 on my Xbox after having one of my friends suggest me to play rec room. For some reason, Listening to some relaxing rec room OST, Seeing the old watch menu style as well as other things, gives me a sense of nostalgia…

During the 2020 version, there’s a part where you’re introduced to your dorm and given your watch. You can also customize your character before the account setup/tutorial begins. It’s exclusive to new accounts

Joined July of 2021. Wasn’t lucky to hear the OOBE theme. I was one of the unfortunates who still played on Quest 1 and now I can’t play the game anymore and only can play it on my phone. I miss the 2016-2020 era.

Ever since a 2022 update, you usually get your dorm room key at the very end, but with the update, you just get your watch at the end and use it to join a room

OLD Rec room was better, better props, it ACTUALLY Tells you how to use the controls. and the voicelines were like AMAZING!! Now Room is boring and when u join it just doesn't tell the controls. i mean its still fine but the old rec room just hit better.

I joined in early 2018 and I believe it was a month before the rec center had all the construction stuff in it. It was just like 2016 version but the tutorial was the dodgeball tutorial from 17 to 20 but without height calibration or walk mode
