For me, the strongest part of Joshua's effect was the rest of the deck being blank.

Great effect as the spectator does not cut to a card nor do they physically select their card in any way. If we prefer to pluck the spectator's thought card from their mind, then we might use a simple thirteen card stack of clubs (Ace to King) on the face down top of the deck. The deck can now be carefully fanned out face up left to right with both hands to show that the deck is not in any special order. We can also appear to mix up the deck by transfering batches of cards from the face to the middle as we mess up the spread. All we need to do is to safely hold back the top thirteen card stack as we spread the cards out. Then we can simply remember the face card resultant after the mix up. This will be our key card for the value with the AC being the key card as per normal for the suit.

For another type of final we can use Daniel Madison's Swith Box to create a kind of Blizard. Where the card selected by the spectator is unique and deposited on the table. The rest of the deck of cards flipped over on the table are white cards only, and these can be checked without problem.

Great effect, congrats. I'm thinking that you could do it with a Brad Harding stack (marked or not) and avoid the inspection problem. Same thing, but invisible.

joshua was blind foldet all the way....at another reveal somebody showed that the backside of only two cards need to be rough....but how he ends blank with no switch is a miracle...u mentioned a gimmick deck...could u explain further..?..i saw joshua performing the same routine for another audience there the spectators can inspect the deck...

Good thought. Though for this trick one can only remember or mark topmost and bottom card. No stack is needed.

Moreover Jashua jay 's version there was no deck switch ..Still there was only one chosen card..Rest were blank. That was real fooler.

You don’t need the cards in new deck order all you have to do is remember the bottom card spread through the deck face up saying your thought of card is one of these! Count the cards below the marker cards and voila you know there card
