OK, Here you are yet another guy inspiring me to get myself back in shape so I can get back out on the trail again too. I have missed hiking for a couple of years now. This video is an inspiration because of the sites and sounds one will find out hiking backpacking and camping in the wilderness. Thanks

Another interesting and well filmed hike. I'm sure we all realize, but not all appreciate, that every time you leave your camera to do the walk away shots, you're going back to collect it, so you're covering the same ground 3 times just to show us the views, Many thanks for that.

I have been all over the world, and I would have to say WA state in the USA is some of the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen. If you ever get a chance you should visit. Just stay out of Seattle. Bunch of crazies there.

When I was a very young boy in the Casper Wy area I lived next to the railroad tracks. I would watch the trains go by and look at the emblems on the cars. My favorite? Rocky mtn goat...Great Northern! I like the BNSF railroad and the fact that the GN is a part of them makes me glad. Sort of nostalgic, but good memories.

This hike you are on is one i have wanted to do and hope this summer i can pull it off .. Great film of your hike , i love history like this .. Where did you started in on your hike ? Very well done .. There were several books written about this disaster and i have one written by a local writer .. Someone had told me that going in from Stevens Pass was the way he went in and it was a great hike as i have not looked at a map i do not know where the little town of Wellington was located ..

If you walk down the mountain from the snow shed the remnants of the train cars from the 1910 avalanche are still there.

Eerie! How did you find this place? I never heard of this avalanche before, but then, I wouldn't; I was never in that part of the country. Thank you for filming your hike for us. Did you do the hike all in one day? Can't tell how long or how far you hiked. I love trains. I wish the U.S. would designate funds to criss-cross the country with trains like Europe and the U.K. have.

Hard to believe that less than 100 years ago this was a very active east/west rail line. But when the (New) Cascade Tunnel was opened in the late 20's (Still used by BNSF) it made for a much easier and straighter grade into seattle, which pretty much rendered the line you explored useless.
@FarEastSurvival9 жыл бұрын
Thanks. That was really interesting. Imagine 100 years ago the most valuable companies listed in the New York Stock Exchange were rail road companies. Virtually all of them are gone now with most of them going bankrupt. It shows that nothing stays the same and even embodiments of once one of the most successful companies can lie in ruin. We need to stay humble and stay rooted to our values.

I love the corporals video.but if he is alone i can not believe he could not hear or see spirits.some people are not sensitive to the spirit world.i was alone.i seen two ghost in the first 20 minutes as clear as day.that place is way out there when it comes to dead people walking and talking very loud.i am glad when i returnd home i came across nwpia ghost Hunters.reading there resurch stoped me from loosing it after what i went threw.i am so glad so many other people have been threw the same thing.there are many people that have left that trail running.i did not run because they would have known i was afraid and threw my ass off of that mountain.but the hike is beautiful.do not go alone.and your dog will leave you.

Extra-Nice Video(!!!) 🙂. The only thing missing from underneath that snow shed was a whispery, irritated voice going "Giiiitt Ouuuutt" ☹️ / 🙂. I always tell myself that I don't believe in ghosts, holy or otherwise, but Alot of people died the hard way on that very spot. There's NO WAY I'd walk through there alone ... I MIGHT would if I was Armed To The Teeth, ... and my dog was with me, 🙂.

But it is real good seeing the corporal because he is dressed just like I was.But I was just a little more over kill with weapons hanging off me because of bear and I was alone for the first time up there.Never again lol.The corporal is a better man than me and I miss his videos. He go's to some cool places.
