Nice project! The BFT motor has an 24V DC output (pins 50-, 51+), I would connect the shelly that way, it's safer than playing with the mains and you could probably tap the ground signal from the gates limit switch and connect it to Shellys SW input, to read the gates status.

@@chicolate_chan dosent work unfortunately, limit switch is on 41,42,43 but no ground. Maybe someone more skilled could wire some type of relay or diode between the pins and the shellys sw input... The 24v output works with the shelly, already tested. P. S. You can always wire in an cheap magnet switch to read the status.

Hello and very good video! Please can you tell me if I only can connect the Shelly by bluetooth to my sliding gate motor? I have a router but no WiFi Internet connection in my house yet so I wish use the Shelly to make the same functions of a remote control but using my smartphone and the App to open the door. Literally took 15 min to setup everything (as long as you have same BFT and you bough same Shelly Plus 1 model). GSM modem (BFT does not have WiFi only) costs - 100€, Shelly ~20€). And arguably you have more control options for automation

hello, thanks for your video. I already have a smart switch for opening the gate and for other basic functions at home. I would like to change everything with Shelly, they seem more reliable and have a nicer user interface. In the video I can't understand if when the gate is open the system warns you that it is open and after it is closed if it warns you that it is closed. I also wanted to ask for your help in understanding whether in a circuit for switching on lights there is the possibility, with the Shellys, to insert buttons and switches in the same circuit? I know that Shellys work with both buttons and switches, but I don't know if I should use just buttons or just switches. Thanks for your help.

Great video, thank you! I followed the instructions exactly but the switch only operates the gate one way, it will not interrupt operation midway and it will not close the gate once it is full open. Any ideas please?

I fixed my own problem - anyone experiencing the same thing, turn dip switch 1 to the off position.

Shelly sometimes interferes with built-in receiver. If you can place it in different location (preferable outside the motor enclosure) it should get better.

Hello, I have mounted the same one on a CAME motor, but I cannot make the door stop before reaching the end of the stroke. If I press the button again and it closes, when I press it again it changes and opens the door!! but it doesn't stop it, tell me what am I doing wrong? please . all the best

Hi! I do have de same BFT motor model (Deimos BT A400) but mine says 110 - 120V... and yours is 220-230V. Im very bad with electrical job so need help knowing where should I connect the wires. No, you don’t need voltage to give the signal. All you need to do is connect/bridge the pins together. For instance pin 2 and pin 7. Connect them by 1 wire, and the signal to open/close/stop/close is given. I made the mistake to put voltage on those pins. Had to buy a new controlboard :)

Yes, it does! You can use the RF remote without a problem!

Sonoff-ul trebuie modificat ca sa mearga, si e complicat. Plus ca nu e asa trainic ca si Shelly (mi-a murit un Sonoff anul trecut la -5 grade). Shelly Plus 1 are si dry contact, deci chiar e recomandat pentru poarta.

@@recanything Mersi mult. Am inteles cum ar trebui sa mearga. Orice dry contact pe bornele 60 si 61 si e ca butonul de la telecomanda. Am sa incerc cu un Sonoff Mini R2 ca am vazut ca e mai usor de modificat si mai revin cu detalii daca a rezistat sau nu. Am multe sonoff-uri si nu as mai vrea inca o aplicatie si pentru asta. Because I just need a short electric impulse to open/close the gate, so if I want it to act like the remote control, this is what I needed to do
