ceramic caps.. SIGH! why not use diods or resistors instead when using the wrong components with wrong behaviour? a booting machine is not a proof of correct caps. ceramic caps are voltagedependent so congratulations. you have now a machine that is equipped with caps of wrong capacitance etc..

I totally agree. I made another video for this. I changed the ceramic caps with polymer caps.

Fantastic work!!! I'm going to do the same thing, I have the same equipment and received my new caps. Just an information...where could I find the scheme to test the connection after each capacitor replacement? Also, which temperature did u set for the heat gun? ( C° please ) Thank you very much for this video!!!

Thank you for your comment. I have measured the capacitors directly at the poles. There should be no continuity when you measure with a multimeter. If there is, then there may be a short circuit due to solder. Then you have to rework it again. I carefully increased the temperature until the solder liquefied. You should always be careful with this, because at too high a temperature there is a risk of damaging components. I had my hot air gun set between 330 and 360 degrees Celsius. Good luck with your project!

NO NO NO NO! Don’t do this!! These are not the correct capacitors to use. If one goes, you will cause serious damage to your board. facebook.com/groups/CommodoreAmiga/permalink/10158438301574157/
