So backwards. The only manager we’ve had where I would’ve been happy having him 10+ years. Even if he came 8th I would’ve backed him to come back. Always honest and critical if we’ve been poor. Potter also is a risk, done a great job at Brighton but it’s a different ball game at Chelsea. Hope he does well and proves me wrong but I think we’re massively wrong for getting rid of Tuchel and I’m fuming.

Not to mention that Potter is just a way more unproven version of Tuchel, they play the same style of play more or less and have problems with wingers being annoyed at playing wingback, I like that it’s continuing with a style of play but if you’re downgrading managers and the players clearly are fed up of the system which is disgraceful enough as it is, it makes no sense, why not Zidane?

He deserved a chance to actually work with his new signings and to try and create some chemistry. This is an incredibly poor decision by Todd Boehly imo.

I watched how Zagreb celebrated last night and I felt deep down that we could not wait for them to play the reverse fixture at The Bridge. I am livid that he has been sacked. Livid! I said on another channel that this was the first time since Mourinho I've wanted a manager for longevity, not for the moment. Sir Alex, Klopp and even Pep would have dreamed for TT's start - though could argue it was off the back of Franks squad but you get my drift. Players these days have far too much power and there is only soo much you can do as a manager to keep your entire squad happy. Rule with an iron fist and make a few enemies or be lax (which translates to their performance) to only get axed when your squad under-peforms. Just sad.... and my word, the timing of it as well. No, we shouldn't be surprised, but I just never expected Todd and Clearlake to move like this. Not every Chelsea fan will agree with me but I would rather we built a legacy with a manager that has come in, failed a few good times but over time, figures out his 11, their playing style and trends. That way, we don't have idiot rival fans chanting 'We bought it all' - completely discrediting the hard work that goes in to win a title/cup, let alone a game. Yes you want your owners to have a juicy wallet and absolutely yes we want to win every game.. but let us also understand that there are 3 outcomes to this beautiful game and an upset is always on the cards. To all of the people saying it was a mistake and they don’t understand why he was sacked. It is clear that something went on behind the scenes in recent weeks that made the relationship untenable. There have always been rumours that Tuchel can be a bit abrasive when things aren’t going his way, and that he isn’t the best at ‘managing up’. He’s been noticeably agitated in recent weeks and he certainly isn’t the type to hide those feelings behind the scenes.

Chelsea have an appalling record of paying big for strikers who don't convert money into goals. That's the main reason for many of their manager sackings: Tuchel continued that trend in ALL HONESTY: Werner, Lukaku, Sterling... ALL will end up under-performing.

It's mad sacking a manager this quickly after so many changes at the club and in the transfer window! Was it 8 new players in? And about double that number left? Generally, the more players you bring in together, the longer it's going to take for them all to settle properly. Sacking the manager a week after the window closes is nuts; it's like hiring somebody to renovate your house in a week, and you come back after a week and they're just putting the finishing touches on it and you get mad because it isn't finished, and so you fire them...

Exactly. While so much has changed from the 1980s to today that you cannot make a perfect comparison, I do think there is enough evidence to show that it is well worth sticking with a manager through the rough patches rather than resort to knee jerk changes. But I struggle to think of a club in recent years that has taken that approach. That being said, growing up as a Newcastle fan in the 90s, I do wish Utd had sacked Ferguson's ass based on poor early results in the 80s.

I feel like something happened with tuchel and bohley because they cant just sack him after 1 week after deadline day. Managers would have a bad run of form and then find themselves doing good again but this is just something else. No time to do anything with the players he bought. Nobody expected to wake up to TT being sacked. All the managers that we could get is a downgrade from Tuchel. Todd Bohley doesn't know what he is doing and all he thinks is that if he spends a heck ton of money they will automatically win the UCL. Underperforming players win the sacking battle again. Tuchel deserves better treatment after helping the club going through a tough period amid change of ownership. Sacking the manager one week after the transfer window is ridiculous. The rebuild and adaptation period for the new manager is gonna be long… I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up in the mid-table at the end of the season. It’s all on some players’ terrible attitude on the pitch and Todd’s pointless decision.
