Honestly... if Puig played, Red Bulls would have been destroyed. That's the only reason RB even look like they had a chance. All respect to them, they kept the press and drew fouls for set pieces well, but man Garces was a wall and if Puig was in that game their midfield and CB's would have been outclassed.

Nelson and Yamane did a lot of good work too. I was impressed by the middield defensive work by all the mids too. Both NY amd Portland focused defensively on Pec/Yamane while Joseoph got free to take on people on the left

Yoshida is no joke. Garces makes them even tougher. The. Galaxy just tend to play wide open. In the playoffs they tightened up quite a bit.

Garces improved and complemented our Japanese guys, he was a factor in this final. A project coming n but i am bery happy how it turned out. Will Kuntz is the person that came here and help put this team together. Vanney was awful the prior 3 years. If it wasn't for Kuntz, Greg Vanney would be looking for a job right about now.
