With the J3 spades hand - I think you also need to ask yourself how often is my opponent betting K or Q flushes on the flop? And I think in this game probably pretty often.
@holdemholmes7 ай бұрын
I’m not well versed on PLO - if they’re betting the flop would that mean they’re triple barreling? If so, what hands are they getting value from? I doubt anyone calls a triple barrel with a lower flush
@calpoker216 ай бұрын
checking the flop with K/Qhi flush in that spot super reasonable they're just never checking the turn he had a super easy call down in that spot and at a lower stake game he wouldn't have thought twice just given that line the only hand he ever loses to is Qhi as the button knows Khi is the absolute nuts given action so he's def gonna bet larger and as you can see dude was happily value betting a worse flush I haven't gotten to that hand yet in the video but I'll be SHOCKED if he doesn't admit he made a pretty big mistake folding the river. he's at basically the top of his range and his hand is massively under repped I mean shit he beats value bets and price is great don't see how you can ever defend a fold given the way the hand played out from pre flop to the river.
@DAWEAP16 ай бұрын
It’s not about triple barrel or up in his range - it’s about game dynamics. This game plays differently than your 1/2 casino game. It’s not “gto” - people are gambling and it’s a battle of egos. I don’t know who Villian is in this hand but given ranges are so wide, betting Q hi flush for value is a no brainer
@prabhakarpatel17246 ай бұрын
@@calpoker21yes, agree that his hand was way under repped. Thats why the guy happily bet his smaller flush. Only reason to check the river would be to bluff catch, not fold. I wonder leading the turn with half pot bet would have been better. You can fold if u get raised on the turn. If you get called you can check call or check fold the river.
@calpoker216 ай бұрын
@@prabhakarpatel1724 I think check calling is better unless you are specifically trying to induce a bluff raise from a player you believe bluffs too much but as a standard line I think check call is superior and it depends on position as well if an EP player bets turn then proceed with caution but when it's checked to button then just have to check call.

I'm really enjoying this level of highly detailed analysis. So much so that I joined the yearly membership for PLO Mastermind that Jnandez and his staff (Luuk/Ryan) also lead. Looking forward to more in detailed analysis using the PLO Trainer from the Professor and his squad of crushers. 🎉🚀 Also considering playing Coinpoker since JNandez endorses it and the rake is very competitive. 💪

With that flush im more happy to call vs pot than 1/2 because i expect nutflush and blockers to always pot, 1/2 smells very value heavy.

That first hand it shows pot of $25,500 preflop and then on flop it shows $24,750 so that’s where I got a little confused. I’m assuming you all get that rake back in the end?

Amazing Content! Ty! 38 Mins' hand: why you said there are more combos that beat you? Aren't more weaker flushes or bluff with Q/As (I get the KK set for SD value) you beat?
@JonCookeBridge6 ай бұрын
He said “IF he has a flush, 3/4 beat me.” The way to count the combinations is to consider that there are 3 higher spades and 5 lower ones. Higher plus higher (3 of those: AQ/AK/KQ) Higher plus lower: 15 of those (3x5) Lower plus lower: 10 of those 5x4/2. So if all are equally likely, 18 flushes beat you and ten lose to you. But they aren’t all equally likely - he called a raise, and chose to bet river, so I expect Fernando weighted down the small ones and got to 75%. If you are really beating 25% of the value and all the bluffs this probably should be a call on the river. If it’s really a fold on this river, it seems like a turn fold to me as the bluffs (sK) are likely to continue bluffing. I don’t think he was being concrete enough.

how do you find this GG rake structure? where can I look at it ?
@hansari86977 ай бұрын
When discussing the J high flush fold you were mentioning the combos on the turn and how it is more likely he has a bigger flush. You removed the nut flush and nut blocker mostly I am assuming due to the flop check IP. Wouldn't you heavily discount the K high flush as well? The PFR and cold call have both checked to him so you with the widest range are the only uncapped player still in the pot. I feel like the K high flush is highly likely to bet here. Maybe not always but likely.

ya given the action the Khi flush is gonna be the stone nuts almost always there is no way the button isn't happy to go for 2 streets of value with Khi and probably the Qhi as well.

What if the rake is very high, is it still better to limp and play wide ranges? I play 9 handed NLH, 1 smal blind ante, on GG. And I pay a rake of 16bb/100. What I do is to open smal and very tight early positon and bigger and wider late positon.

It’s like how global poker does it too. You buy gold coins and they give you sweepstakes coins that a dollar currency. Then you use your tickets to cash out. Also for him to play is just comes down to basically the casino or poker rooms policies. As long as he has no access the back end. Plus it would be in his best interest to keep game clean as possible. Ya he could steal a little but someone would figure it out and make more money owning it over long term
