We have a bad quarterback. Our bad quarterback makes the coach call bad plays. The bad plays give more chances for their offense to be on the field. I know Mason Rudolph isn't a starter in the NFL. But benching Levis is the move here.

Even with some of the mistakes defensively and questionable officiating, the Titans should have won this game EASY. Coach Cally deserves all the blame on this one with his atrocious play calling in the 2nd half. The OL for once looked respectable in both pass protection and run game. At this point, if you don't trust Levis to run your offense, just let him learn on the sidelines and let Mason finish the season. If I was Calvin Ridley, I would throw a tamper tantrum just to get the ball early in the 1st quarter...not at the end of games when your Qb has NO confidence in himself. I got exactly what I expected of Levis playing scared and just expecting Pollard to be a 2nd coming of Henry, which he's not... The Defense did their part even with the penalties and missed plays. Yes Murray and Sneed have seen much better week but the defense overall gave PLENTY of opportunities for the Titans to score. If it wasn't for the INT by Hooker, not even sure we score 10 pts... Awful Awful loss...Feels like week one but for different reasons...

@ Justin or Justin A big deal was made about how Callahan is a planner, how he tailors his offense to his players, etc. etc. Why does it seem like the exact opposite with Levis? Quick, rhythmic passing isn’t his forte. Seems like the offense just isn’t explosive, but that’s where Levis would thrive (kinda). Is it first job jitters for Callahan or is Levis just THAT bad?
@MusicCityAudiblePodcastАй бұрын
Truthfully, I'd (Melo) place like 90% of the issues on Levis. He's simply not executing. Watch the tape and he's 2nd guessing his reads, he's almost always late and generally makes bad decisions. He hasn't exactly had success throwing the deep ball either.

I wonder if there is just too much change on the offensive side of the ball. One thing is for certain, Levis hasn’t looked fearless this year, and he certainly was last year. I still think there is a QB in there. My concern is there is a lack of trust/honesty between both QB and HC/playcaller. I am convinced this is the issue. Levis can make throws, he did last year, therefore something else is the issue.

@Titansfan81Ай бұрын
@MusicCityAudiblePodcast I respectfully disagree. We need patience here. QBs need time to develop. I again re assert, we need a more dominant pass rush. These WRs need to catch the ball when thrown and the play calling needs to be better. Want to blame someone.. blame the play calling. Blame the refs.

Ya Levis is just the reason the offense looks the way it does but sure he’s not blame. You’re right, that was a good interception in the 4th quarter, I mistook it for a horrible play
@atlas6157Ай бұрын
I just don’t know how anybody can place an ounce of blame on Levis today. He didn’t call 100 run plays or punt on 4&1 or not call a QB sneak in addition to all the other bad playcalls. This is on Callahan, and every week with his playcalling has gotten worse. Levis is the obvious scapegoat at this point, but Callahan is on the fast track to be one and done.

Gravedigger, I disagree with your assessment on the Brownlee interception. The Colts got called for illegal contact/PA on a throw toward Hopkins earlier in the game. It was very similar in what was called. Would I prefer they weren't called? Yes. But they called both of them, so I can't complain, I think it was pretty consistent both ways. The miss on Hopkins is the only really bad call I felt over the course of the game.

I agree with sticking with Levis and everything you say usually hit the “qb elevates” schtick is so tired. Content creators and fans cried that about Tannehill and now they would cut their arm off to have a qb play like that back. Mahomes isn’t elevating his team, Andy Reid is. Purdy isn’t elevating shit, Kyle S is. Maybe once or twice a season Stafford appears to elevate his awful OL but mostly McVay..oh surprise they are 1-4 too. Love doesn’t elevate, LaFluer does we saw that first hand with Willis. Your qb is only as good as his OL, OC and weapons. You can have one bad group and maybe get by but not usually I.e the Rams. The OL was better yesterday but who was bad this time? Cally and Wr room. This isn’t to say Levis is the answer but that it won’t matter who the qb is until everything else is fixed just like when I was saying this about Tannehill and everyone said “Levis can move in the pocket he can help the bad OL bla bla bla”. It just isn’t the case unfortunately.

@atlas6157Ай бұрын
We have 5 games of evidence that Brian Callahan is not a good playcaller. By a very wide margin, Levis’s pass attempts are on 3rd down, a majority of the time. That is not fair to ANY quarterback to have to be perfect on every third down to sustain a drive, least of all a quarterback like Levis. No QB can get in to any kind of rhythm when you’re passing almost exclusively on 3rd down in most situations and even then it’s usually a pass behind the line of scrimmage. Then when the game is on the line, Callahan suddenly expects him to be able to play hero ball and throw for 20+ yard gains. That’s not even mentioning how late these calls seem to be coming in. Callahan has been nothing short of “horrid” for the majority of his playcalls on the season, and Ridley and others have every right to be frustrated and while Levis cannot be excused for boneheaded mistakes, he also can’t be fairly evaluated with the playcalling the way it is. Every 3rd down, which is the obvious passing down, behind THIS line, that’s usually the one attempt Levis gets on a drive, and the pressure to be perfect has to be immense. Levis may very well not be the answer and it’s certainly trending that way, but Callahan’s playcalling would do NO quarterback any favors, especially a rookie.

I hate to say it...but I am supremely concerned about Callahan's ability as a head coach and even more so as an offensive "guru". Time management and overall operational issues, bad challenge, throwing tantrums, discipline issues across the team, and more than anything losing 3 more than winnable games. I hate giving up on coaches too soon, and I preach patience more than most, but I think this train is off the rails and heading to a chasm. His offense is conservative (sometimes worse than what we saw w/ Vrabel), the play calling is often suspect, every returning playmaker on offense has regressed, and Will Levis looks like the worst QB in the league. I just don't see the appeal. He doesn't do the bread and butter HC stuff well, his offense sucks, his team can't win winnable games, and he just looks like a guy who has no clue what he is doing. I hate being this way, I feel like a hypocrite, but I am all the way out of Callahan. If he can't win a game BEFORE at Texans in Week 12 then he will be fired, and I love the idea of getting a look at Dennard at HC. Sadly, I am also out on Levis. This season is definitely over. I think they should be fire selling anyone on the team who they do not see as a Titan in 2025. Sheesh man, it's bleak. We are at a risk of losing the most games in the Titans era imo.
