There is a little bit of movement from side to side when it is locked in rear facing position is this normal we have the recaro zero 1 just bought

Hi! I am using this same one for my newborn. But somehow I feel the decline for the seat is very little. Am I doing it wrong?

Nope, not doing it wrong, it doesn't recline as much as most seats, so it's not exactly suited for newborns. We waited till our baby was about 1.5 months old before using this.

3 months old. This seat is not really suited for newborn. Newborn, you should go for one that allows a lower recline angle.

Definitely better, but the ProRide was needed for my non-ISOFIX car.

The tabao appears suddenly 9.35min !!! Anyway regretted not getting the 360 degrees rotation base. So much easier to put my baby and taking her out from the seat. Note did you know that Mercedes w211 Amg spec doesn't have ISO Fix??? Have to get the specialist install for me. Sigh...The points are there..Just that CKD they didn't install the ISO Fix..Didn't knew Mercedes so cheapskate on safety.

santisisma83 Hahaha.. my videos are recorded as I proceed in my day to day routine, so things appear and disappear in the cabin between frames. The W211 was sold at a time when ISOFIX was not popularized yet. Many cars at that time were engineered for it, but not implemented across the board. As recently as 2010, the Proton Inspira only offered ISOFIX for the 2.0-litre models.

The Zero.1 is used mostly on my wife's car and my test cars. When shopping for car seats, I insisted on paying a bit more for this for the convenience of the 360 rotation feature.

Kon Wai Luen yeap, is not popularize locally yet at that time, but in Europe is already mandatory. I thought as a premium car maker, this sort of safety feature should be mandatory globally. Oh well ..cost is the main culprit. Buy good thing now even perodua axia also got d.

Kon Wai Luen yea, is very important. Just last week, I was sitting at the back while my wife is driving on the way back from JB to KL. My daughter was sleeping in the child car seat. Suddenly, a car suddenly cut into our lane without any indication( Bloody BMW!!!). Slam emergency break, my daughter pacifier flew to the front . Lucky I did buckle up at the back as well. If I was holding my daughter and not buckle up, confirm I will slam into the back of the front seat with my daughter in the middle. Luckily nothing untowards incident happen. my daughter woke up a few seconds, and sleep back...Phew........

At 18 months, his neck should actually be strong enough to hold his head up. The sweating is an unfortunate consequence. The child seat traps heat on hot days, but you can alleviate this by putting up sunshades. MPVS with roof-mounted blowers would really come in handy.

Kon Wai Luen Kon Wai Luen Thanks for replaying and for the advice His neck is still a bit weak his a disability and still can't walk that's why I got him this car seat to make him in his car seat safely it just arraived yesterday I have 2 questions 1- Anchors was too hard to reach nothing like your video my car is Toyota Sienna van I had to hold the carseat up to reach anchors 2- The leg I keep going forward like your video till it get green but it was all the way forward that only half of the bottom lean on the car floor not all of it What's your advice please

Are you from North America? The Toyota Sienna is not sold here in Malaysia so I am uncertain of the car's specific features. Most of the time, however, you can find the ISOFIX mounts by looking for markers placed on the seat. It helps if you were to use your finger to feel where the mount is and aim the 2 anchors to snap on.

For the front leg, I initially had difficulties too, but found that the trick is to push the upper section of the leg up then let the rest of the leg drop to the floor.

This video is irresponsible!!! The baby is much to smal to fit in that seat!!b It isn't allowed to add an extra side protection!! The seatbelt isn't fasted the right way and not even close tight enough!!!
