@Failingpepper 11 most of the characters and stories people know and love are from his college years, in his high school years by Lee and Ditko he was an asshole loner who had shitton of problems, his supporting cast was Betty, Liz, Flash, Jameson, May, whitch the only actually positive inputs were by Bettty and May, with Liz later getting a crush on his and basicly simping for him, Peter and Flash had an actual boxing match in issue 6 if i remember the number right. It was in college where we met Gwen, MJ, Harry and Norman, most of his enemies and friends along the stories were involved and made, and while i ejoy Lee and Ditko Spider-man, everything they made was the base of what Spider-man means and is known for.

I wouldn't make the mainline Peter a teenager again, I would probably put him in his first or second year of college mainly because I think you can have higher emotional stakes for the character as well as responsibility for Peter, than you can for high-school setting. But that's just me

If I am honest, I am almost tired of Peter being an adult (or acting, looking and practically being an adult). In Spider-Man ps4 he is an adult, into the spider-verse he is an adult, in the amazing Spider-Man he is played by someone who definitely looks like an adult and same with the Raimi trilogy. I actually think the stakes are higher when Peter is a teenager, I like how it is just a kid having to rise up to the responsibility of being a man and going through so much hardship at such a young age. Spectacular Spiderman is my favourite version of the character and it still has higher stakes imo because he is in high school: he still has a job to lose at the daily bugle, he works at a lab with no pay because he is too young (which he then loses that job at the lab cus he is Spider-Man) and because he is a teenager he has to deal with Aunt May worrying about him and giving him a curfew. I just think one of the things so special about Spider-Man is that he is just a kid and that almost anyone who has been that age or is that age can relate to the problems he is going through.

One thing people often don't consider, when thinking about casting Peter Parker, the character gets so much better, when he's older. Teenage Pete is a good start, but the character really came to his own, when they left adolescence behind, and let him grow up. Redoing Teenage Peter is kinda like doing Chapter 1 all the time, when you'd have tons of great stories ahead.

Literally there's just two *famous* teenage Peter in media, and it's the Holland's version and Spectacular version. The rest are adults or young adults. Spectacular handled teenage Peter in a great way, and it's a really good start. A first trilogy with Spidey in high school. Green Goblin as the final villain. A second trilogy with him in college. The Sinister Six and Venom as the final villains. And a third trilogy with him as an adult. Kraven as the final villain.

As a huge fan of Ultimate Spider-Man. I think a young Justin Long would’ve been perfect for the character. He definitely has that quippness that Spider-Man has, which you can definitely see in his appearance on “Punk’d”. And he just had that look in Jeepers Creepers that Ultimate Peter Parker/Spider-Man has. Real Talk: I’m so sick of high school Spider-Man! Spider-Man left high school in 1965, and it wasn’t until the year 2000 that we saw Peter (1610, a completely different version of him mind you) in high school again. For almost the entirety of Spider-Man’s history, he’s been in his 20’s (mostly early or mid 20’s, these days late 20’s). I get that most adaptions put him back in high school to show his origin, but I feel like people have this weird idea of him as a literal child. Also, Spider-Punk is a different version of Spider-UK, rather than Spider-Man. Being British, I figured John Boyega would be the obvious choice.

Great vid Bryan! I thought I’d throw my own hat in the ring and tackle the Spider-Verse. Spider-Man/Peter Parker-Brenton Thwaites I like the concept of Jupe as a young Peter but as someone who HATES Holland’s portrayal and doesn’t want Spidey in high school since for a majority of his comic history he’s been a regular adult. My favorite iterations of Spider-Man stories have been: the comics where he’s usually canonically in college or older, PS4, The Raimi films, and the 90s animated series where he’s older. Thwaites just looks like Peter and as we saw in Titans, is experienced in superhero media and could meet the physical demands. He also showed off his dorky side in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales but as Dick Grayson, he showed off some serious acting and although I didn’t personally like The Giver, he was great in it and I think he has all the qualifications for the character. Spider-Man/Miles Morales-Jharrel Jerome In a world where Peter is older, I would pick a semi older actor for Miles. I liked Bryan’s choice, but a MAJOR aspect of Miles is that he’s Afro-Latino which Isaiah sadly is not. Jharrel is of Dominican descent, is from the Bronx, and said that he’d love to play the character. I’ve loved EVERY performance he’s given from Moonlight to Mr. Mercedes to When They See Us. He would kill it. Spider-Gwen/Gwen Stacy- I actually have two picks here. If we’re doing multiverse stuff, just keep Emma Stone in the role tbh but if we’re looking for a new Gwen for Brenton’s Peter…. Spider-Gwen/Gwen Stacy-Samara Weaving Keep in mind, that this universe has an older cast of characters and Weaving is absolutely perfect for Brenton’s Peter. She is one of my favorite actresses working today and for good reason. Ready Or Not, Snake Eyes, Mayhem, and Guns Akimbo showed off her skills in action particularly Ready Or Not which was one of my personal recent favorite films. She also has that “girl next door” vine for Gwen as seen in Hollywood, The Babysitter (before all the Satanic shit lol), SMILF, and again Ready Or Not. Her death would definitely trigger some emotions from audiences which would be paid off when we see her as Spider-Gwen whenever the multiverse film comes out. Spider-Man/Peter B. Parker-Jason Sudeikis You gave some great points for Howerton in the role but I think there is a better choice in mind. I love Howerton but even in his most pathetic roles, he seems a bit too cool for the out of shape retired web slinger. We need someone that can clearly show that they’re going through a rough patch but also pull off those serious moments. I think undoubtedly that Jason Sudeikis could nail this. He’s imo, one of the funniest actors working today for Peter B’s comedic bits and has shown his dramatic chops in things like: Ted Lasso, Colossal, and Kodachrome. He’s also has been recently divorced by long time wife Olivia Wilde and due to Peter B’s constant struggles, he could bring some serious emotion to the role that has been stored up like how Ben Affleck took some inspiration from his real life struggles in The Way Back. Sudeikis would nail this role. Spider-Punk/Hobart Brown-I kinda cringed when you said Lakeith not cause he wouldn’t be great but because he was cancelled recently for conversing with Anti-Semitic women and I personally wouldn’t want him to be rewarded a major franchise role after something like that. I actually think Donald Glover would sine here. I mean c’mon, Childish Gambino as a rocker Spider-Man? That would put butts in seats. Glover’s comedic timing is also top notch so he’d nail this. It’d also be cool if the Community bit of Troy wearing a Spider-Man shirt that was seen as a reference in Spider-Verse and coming full circle to play a “Spider-Person” this would be ideal casting. Spider-Ham/Peter Porker-Tony Hale The team at Spider-Verse and Bryan both nailed this one but if I had to give my own choice it’d be Tony Hale. He showed his range for comedic voice acting in Harley Quinn as Dr. Psycho and could do some fun stuff with this character. Silk/Cindy Moon-Karen Fukuhara Silk is a difficult character to cast since she has to be able to meet physical demands but also be friendly and almost alluring. I’ve literally described Karen Fukuhara. She’s a martial arts champion, and KILLED it as Kitana in Suicide Squad and Kimiko in The Boys. She’s perfect for the character and I would love to see this. Spider-Woman/Jessica Drew-Marie Avgeropoulos I LOVE MEW and wouldn’t be opposed to her as Spider-Woman but I think that Marie Avgeropoulos has a better look for Drew and can also do all the physical stuff as seen in The 100. I can totally see her as the authoritative S. H. I. E. L. D. agent turned superhero. Spider-Man Noir-Adam Driver No offense Bryan, but this is the one I didn’t care for. I love Keanu Reeves but hate the majority of characters he gets casted as. Like I saw him fancasted as Dr. Doom once which to me doesn’t fit in any regard. Keanu could do well as Noir but to me, Driver fits way better. He has excellent comedic timing and we all know has the voice after hearing him as Kylo Ren. I think honestly Driver may be on par with Cage. Driver is also one of the best actors today so he’d nail this. Spider-Man 2099/Miguel O’Hara-Tyler Posey Spider-Man in the style of Blade Runner 2049 is a must. Again, I liked Bryan’s choice but also have one of my own. Posey has shown to be a good actor, has the physicality and could play Miguel with class. It’s also worth noting that his mother is of Mexican descent and father is of British descent and Miguel is of Mexican and Irish descent in canon. This took a while so I’ll share my other choices for Spidey characters but not give reasons like I did with Bryan’s castings: Spider-Girl/Mayday Parker-Thomasin McKenzie Peni Parker-Mana Ashida Spider-UK-Taron Egerton Spider-Girl/Anya Corazon-Seychelle Gabriel Spider-Man/Ezekiel Sims-Stephen Lang Archane/Julia Carpenter-Riley Keough Spider-Woman/Mattie Franklin-Ruby Rose Lady Spider/May Reilly-Daisy Ridley Madame Web-Jamie Lee Curtis Can’t wait for the villains!

Spoilers for the casting: As much as I love LaKeith Stanfield, I wouldn't consider him "incredibly underrated" at all. I mean he was in Get Out, Knives Out, Atlanta, Sorry To Bother You, Uncut Gems, and SO much more. I mean he was nominated this year for Best Supporting Actor for Judas and the Black Messiah. He was also just cast with Tiffany Haddish in a Haunted Mansion Disney movie.

Hey there, good list but my only criticism is that it should be an Afro-latino actor that should be cast as Miles Morales. I'm not trying to be PC here (shut ya mouths). For me, it would be amazing to hear Miles Morales speak Spanish. Wouldn't have to be fluent, but I'd hate it if they casted any black actor to just play Miles and then not have him embrace or showcase his latin side. I know that both actors from the film and the video game spoke spanish and I really appreciated it. Honestly though I don't read the comic books so I don't know Miles Morales' level of Spanish fluency but that's my two cents.

If you ever wanna do a new casting I got a challenge for you Casting red dead redemption 2 for tv series, the most important definitely has to be Arthur Morgan, John Marshton, Hosea matthews and Dutch Van Der Linde, we can cast the others later but these 4 are important cause Arthur and John don’t get along at the beginning and you want to cast them relative to their late 20s early 30s cause they can be aged up, Hosea needs someone who’s underestimated cause of his slim build, and gentleman nature, next you have to cast someone that fits Dutch who has the nature to lead but in the end turns into a traitor and psychopath, hope you can cast this soon Bryan? Or maybe cast the ghost riders from Johnny Blaze, Robbie Reyes, Danny Ketch, cosmic ghost rider (especially if it’s in the multiverse), and Alejandra Jones?

I really wanna see a Doc Ock in the MCU with a personal connection to Peter who slowly delves into madness from his creation similar to the PS4 version

Good start. You're right about Tom Holland. I like the casting for Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, Silk, Noir and Gwen. I'm pumped for the casting of the villains and curious to see the storyline and I can't wait to see who you cast for Kraven. He needs to be aging, worn a bit, missing the glory days and all that and of course an actor who can pull a Russian accent.

I think Jacob Tremblay (who starred alongside Jupe in Wonder) would be a perfect fit for the next Peter Parker. He’ll likely be 20 by the time Tom Holland ages out of the role. Him or Noah Schnapp would be an excellent choice.
