These are some great looking malassadas. I make them, but they don’t look as beautiful as yours. I suppose the trick is to stretch from the inside out to make that indentation in the middle. They taste good, but not beautiful. Thank you for your video and your recipe and the demonstration. Great presentation. Big hug from a fellow Portuguese living in Atlanta, GA who loves malassadas.

We don’t call it Portuguese donuts we call it portuguese fried dough here. My mom used to rise her dough by filling glass jars from Sanka coffee with hot water putting pan on top of bed and cover with tons of blankets
