When I was young I was told so many (limited and prejudiced) things about gay men, and during my life I have encountered gay men who were police officers, doctors, lawyers, cleaners, sales assistants, factory assembly line workers, supermarket managers and everything else. What a beautiful neighborhood y’all live in! No offense, but as someone who lives in Nebraska, it’s funny to me to see what constitutes a “snow day” in Tennessee😁. We currently have several inches of snow on the ground and for the past couple weeks have been experiencing very cold temperatures with bitter windchills as low as -35 degrees! The kids did get an extended holiday break due to the conditions, but generally school is in session as long as roadways are safe for buses and windchills are not below -25. That being said, I hope you all enjoyed the time off! There is nothing better than an unexpected day off from school! Your farm is beautiful and growing, growing, growing! A wonderful place for the kids to grow up and learn a great deal about nature! I will be thinking of you all and sending lots of positive energy, love and BIG hugs as you work through this difficult time you are experiencing. Take care!❤️

It's funny you got a snow day for that. Growing up on the north coast, in western New York State, we would pray for snow days. All the schools around mine would close. Re: cutting onions. Place a wet clothe or paper towel near where they are being cut. There is a chemical in onions that is attracted water. Generally, that is the eyes. Instead of heading to your eyes it goes toward wet towel.

When I worked in a restaurant, the salad lady sucked on a spoon while she peeled and chopped onions. She insisted it kept her from crying. It didn't work for ME!!! 😢 Here in Or., we just had a week of cold, snow and wind, then freezing rain. That turned into what my Mom called a "silver thaw"--- ice coating everything and complete with icicles. Rare for Or. Beautiful, but that's enough winter for me! Hope everything works out for you. Everybody needs a man like PJ. Not afraid to crawl under a house. Able to fix the sewer line. Happy to feed the animals. Skilled at hammering, sawing, painting, hauling. He's a wonder of nature. A MAN doing what MEN do! It's why we live in such comfort and security. My father was like that, and he continued doing many of these things until he was 90 years old! What a MAN!
