ironically the game I'm playing now isn't even in this video, been playing Jedi Survivor on PS5 and absolutely LOVING it so far. the accessibility options really sold me on grabbing it and I'm having a great time. hope they can get it running for PC players soon cause man, it's a good one

thanks, appreciate that! and I've been kicking myself for not keeping my childhood GameBoy, it's on my list to get the original grey brick someday. Miyoo did a good job with the retro look of the emulator, really sold me on that one

@vaultfox's vault I had the GB with the add on magnifier and light. Played it till it wore out and the buttons were mush. It's funny all the advanced hand held systems out there and yet we sort of yearn for 16 bit grey graphics in a small Lcd screen. 😄

Awesome video! That’s really cool that you prefer handheld gaming. I prefer my home consoles like PS5, but my Switch and Steam Deck have made me appreciate handheld gaming a lot more. Some games, like retro and indie games, I actually even prefer to play handheld now because they feel more at home on a handheld device.

thanks! I mostly prefer handheld from my days of going into the office/commuting so I can fill that time with gaming & I also like to replace phone scrolling with gaming most nights too. I remember hemming and hawing over getting the Steam Deck, even with how much I love handheld gaming, but you're so right ... it opened up my entire library in a way I hadn't played it before! I do love home consoles for those nights where I just really want to experience things on a full screen (like with Jedi Survivor/Horizon ^^)

Totally understand the emulation vs. physical copy dichotomy. Prices of the Fire Emblem and Pokemon GBA/DS games are ridiculous and in terms of accessibility, its really important to be understanding. My first emulator was of Pokemon Emerald, because I knew I could never afford it for a physical cartridge.
