I absolutely loved seeing your makes. The harper cardigan looks so good, I’m quite envious. The black sleeved sweater with the patterned front is inspired, and I can see you wearing them both together. Very classy xxx🥰

Hi Michelle, lots of fabulous makes - you certainly have been very productive. 😊 The cable toaster sweaters are lovely and suit you so well. The Sinclair Harper cardigan is a favourite of mine also as it looks so dressy. I plan to make another one for our winter in a soft sweater knit. I thought the shade of the pale green vest you were wearing just looked gorgeous with your hair and skin tone. I hope you have a lovely time on your sewing retreat.🌸

Glad to hear you are a fan of the harper too! Such a good pattern I can’t believe it is a freebie! Thank you so much I love the colours of the top I was wearing as well, I may have to pick out some of those colours for other fabrics xx

Thank you for sharing your recent makes! It's all so lovely! You look amazing in your grey toaster sweater, and your pattern matching is excellent, which I would say would never be that good in ready to wear!!! xx

Well done with your pattern matching, really impressed & with your grey cable-love the red label. The Lyndon & Harper patterns are great & I also buy from Simple Life Fabrics - such a shame they have decided to close in the spring. Enjoy your sewing trip.😊

I know I’m so sad they are going to close 😭 I have bought so many great quality but reasonably priced fabrics from them. I’m going to miss the shop x

Ah I know what you mean! I can’t pattern match things like pockets etc.. it just stresses me out 😂 the cable knit isn’t too bad as I just look at it like stripes x

I am really tempted by the Toaster - been putting it off as I have enough top patterns! I think it looks better than than the Jarrah, which I made and don't really like, but that could be the fabric I used not being suitable. Also been looking at that cable knit for some time. The grey one is lovely. I like the Harper - I have made two, although I don't often wear the long one.

I think the cable knit is the perfect fabric for the toaster so if you ever are tempted to try it I would recommend the cable knit 😁 especially if you want a warm jumper x

Hi Michelle, I really enjoyed seeing your makes, thank you for sharing them with us. They all look fab. I am very impressed with your pattern matching, which I think makes a world of difference to the finished garment. I particularly liked the grey toaster sweater and the black cardigan, but would honestly be hard-pressed to pick a favourite as they are all so good. Well done! Kind regards, Jill xx

Michelle, your napkins/rings are just beautiful! So pretty! I would love to learn to cross stitch, and have in fact bought myself a cross stitch kit that I can make a cushion from or can just frame, but I’m a complete beginner and there aren’t any instructions. I’m concerned about how to make the back of the cross stitch look neat. Do you have any recommendations of resources for learning to cross stitch please?
@SewingBunny6 күн бұрын
Well done for trying out cross stitch that’s amazing! I would suggest YouTubing the basics. If I am honest I learned by doing very small card making kits and didn’t worry too much about what the back looked like, especially when you are learning. I would recommend if you are brand new then to do what is called the English method which is to sew one full X at a time and keep it the same direction eg. Bottom left to top right followed by bottom right to top left etc.. then when you feel more confident you can try other methods, just take your time and enjoy learning xx
