Thank you so much for reading, Marc. You talk about the book with such eloquence and grace, and I love all of these other recommendations. I now have a reading list!

I am confident The Night Alphabet will be one of my books of the year. I felt I was meant to guess the ending and then anticipate how it would come together. A Book Untitled sounds interesting.

If you did pick up "A Book, Untitled" I'd be fascinated by what you thought of it Ros

I must admit the time travel elements in The Night Alphabet have me pause but the fact that you and Ros both loved it has made me think I can handle it and I’ll picking up my copy of A Book Untitled when I visit family in November 👍

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm so glad to hear your rave review of The Night Alphabet. I asked for a proof a while ago but I for whatever reason I didn't feel very drawn to it, but now it's HIGH UP ON THE LIST.

I am waiting to get my hands on The Night Alphabet. A Book Untitled sounds really interesting so I will look for that one. Jason Reynolds is popular in the US. Some schools even have his books in their curriculum. I'm not his target audience either but I will read anything he puts out. I think I've read four of his works already, but not Long Way Down. I will add that to my growing tbr.

are all his books in verse Arianne?

@@MarcNash No. I think he only has 2 or 3 in verse.

terrific....my copy of Night Alphabet is supposed to arrive today or this weekend...can't wait, since I adore C+anto ....im so happy you read Jason's book....as you know, it wasn't written for adults, though I really adored and respected it, particularly its velocity and deft use of simple poetic forms....i wanted to answer your query about will he as a writer be successful in reaching kids...well, he sure is, as best as one can be. He does readings, continually, throughout the USA for High Schools and Middle Grade Schools, he also has a foundation and works with young kids, particuarly those in inner cities, like his homewtown Washington, and around Baltimore, NYC, Philly...he also relates so well to the kids: he doesn't 'look like a writer' (you know what i mean): dreds, HipHop attire, talks BBall and Rap and totally relates to kids...his books and work is brilliant, his book ghost is awesome as his spiderman-inspired series...he definitely tries hard, so what he wrote isn't like author bravura...one of the good guys! :) ....also read Plotinus in a sitting...loved some of the language (she's a poet) but it didn't really have a big impact as a novella...anyway, happy writing, bb

Hey I wear hip-hop/ skate gear and I talk BBall (base rather than basket)! Just kidding. You will love Joelle Taylor's book as a poet

Another excellent episode Marc. I was wondering if you know of any other books/authors that write in the cut-up style of Burroughs during his trilogy phase? I've read Carl Weissner's "The Braille Film", also Ann Quin and Alan Burns "Babel" but I find it strange that there isn't a whole load of cut-up authors out there. Just thought I'd ask, cheers mate.

Jolly good, one is always a bit trepidatious about recommending books that others do not get on so well with.
