Wonderful find, well done, I also like the box. I have the Members single, for me that's one of the very best Punk songs. Me and mates saw the Skids at Huddersfield Poly at the same time as they smashed into the charts with Into the Valley, don't have that single but do have the one you got. Buzzcocks... saw them about 5 times, brilliant band, still going with original member Steve Diggle up front, sadly Pete Shelley passed away a few years ago R.I.P Pete you legend. Very appropriate if you're of a certain age like me. Cheers.

XTC’s ‘making plans for Nigel’ came in a great foldout sleeve. Penetration’s ’don’t dictate’ is a great song, and has a blue picture sleeve. First band I ever saw live, Newcastle 1977. The other thing to look at is whether the Members ‘Sound of the suburbs’ is on clear vinyl.

I had quite a collection back in the day but all gone now. When I saw the record case it brought to mind a Sunderland footballer called Wayne Entwhistle who volunteered at our youth club and would bring his (mostly punk) singles in a similar case. Oh, sweet child...! You have the debut singles of two seminal Manchester area based bands; Penetration, and Slaughter and the Dogs, one by the Adverts who had a hit with Gary Gilmore's Eyes, and the debut Generation X (Billy Idol) single.. I bought compilation albums just to get these tracks... I have only one of these singles, the Snatch one. It is the only non UK record in that set, the artists (Judy Nylon and Pat Palladin?), being part of the US No Wave scene. £25 was a bargain, especially if you were a Sham 69 fan.

I remember all of these. Where have all the boot boys gone was a song about Man Utd football hooligans from the early seventies, when they had a notorious army of thugs. I actually witnessed them in action as a young kid. Taken to matches by my dad. The song is someone looking back to those days, and the chorus goes, "where have all the boot boys gone? It looks like I'm the only one, the one". As a punk from those times, this record would never last getting played at any club, past the first chorus, because everyone would start fighting. Great memories. I think Identity was early 78, though I'm not 100% sure. Most of their records were 78 onwards. The only one I can remember from 77 was Oh bondage up yours. I think germ free adolescents is one of the best punk era singles ever made. There is no one else with a sound like that.

Nice find there, good work!! 😃Big singles collector here and there was always something special about the punk 45s... some of the very first records I ever owned. For the Pistols (I have the French single you do with the picture sleeve and it has Banned In The UK proudly displayed on the front), X-Ray Spex (they were brilliant and are very collectable - their Germ Free Adolescents album is a classic), 999 (same again and I have a great little CD box set - always liked very much them since way back when... Separates would be their best known album which I have on LP too) and the Buzzcocks of course - we are talking well over £25's worth there! Quite a few of the others I know little or nothing about but things like that to me can be a big plus - always fun researching them and playing them of course. Even cooler to discover one or two are rare and worth a good bit. That's happened to me a few times, which is nice lol. Also it's always good to get one of those cases in one piece - they rarely survive and even ones I've got in decent condition and have looked after have fallen apart unfortunately. The contents can be much more impressive though and great to keep the discs in it, if at all possible. 😎

The Buzzcocks 7" A-side is "What Do I Get?", the B-side is the unmarketable "Oh Shit", so they split the A-side title over both sides of the sleeve. Twenty five pounds for all those classics? Slaughter And The Dogs The Three Decca ones did not have a picture sleeve, where all the others did. XTC did have a Picture Sleeve. The Lurkers BEG 1 was there debut single. And the Photo Is them outside The Red Cow in Hammersmith. Where this single was handed out to every one who attended the gig. Common practice at that time. I was a Punk In London, saw all of these and more live In the Pubs. Penetration, yes a Picture Sleeve, and again Debut single. Again V2 Is the Debut of three singles. Vortex Unfortunately Is not the German Band, Just a sampler for the Album called Vortex. Generation X - Your Generation yes PS, And again a Debut single. Sham 69 - Hurry up Harry had a PS, and the Jukebox one was a later pressing, as the originals were solid centers. Skids has a PS. Snatch one came In gold First Press or White Second Press. All Sham 69's are PS. Skids all are PS. The Yobs - Run Rudolph Run cover of the Chuck Berry Classic. Suburban Studs - I Hate School Great track one of three. Adverts, all have PS. The Cortinas - Fascist Dictator Debut single, all have PS. 999 - Me And My Desire 1978 so just In. Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The U.K. Is French on the Glitterbest label and the PS Is missing. The Fools - Psycho Chicken (Beeped) Is German. Sex Pistols all had PS. Apart from the Novelties, not a bad Haul. I would put the Value at about £300+ the Lot. If only that X-Ray Spex had been Bondage Up Yours. Your looking at around £2000 plus. Still nice I have all of those and more. picking them up at the time. £25.00! You robber. The singles are of course only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them but should you sell, then break up the set and sell individually. There are a few old un's out there that would be happy to be re-united with a piece of their misspent youth. Most of that/my generation have grown up had kids yada yada but would pay just to have something of their lost youth back in their hands. Not my cup of blood any longer (I'm 68) and would suggest it's a shrinking market but you did very well my son. Excellent find and purchase, well done.

It’s the first time I have been called a robber but I get your point lol. I also fully agree a few old un's out there would be happy to be re-united with a piece of their misspent youth. That statement is spot on!. The shrinking market is also probably very true but as long as the music is good people like me and younger will keep the vibe alive by looking for music they missed because it was before their time. The stuff on the radio these days is not everyone’s cup of tea. Let’s keep this stuff alive. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

Don’t Dictate did originally have a picture sleeve it’s a blue colour I think with a live shot of the band if I remember. The Pistols Anarchy single is a French pressing I think on The Glitterbest Label. The Vortex single that features Mean Street was in fact Gary Numan on guitar. I was an avid collector of vinyl especially punk singles from back in the day probably got close to a thousand singles

Who ever sold them for £25 hasn’t really got a good deal - so long as the records are playable they’d be worth more than £300, and with the record box that’s £301.

It was more unusual to find punk singles that DIDN'T come in picture sleeves! It may be worth looking at the records themselves as you got quite a few singles on coloured vinyl. The Yobs title was Run, Rudolph, Run.
