When I was working in Dubai for one of the prominent airline that company has played a reverse psychology game against recession to maintain the stability in their economy and country. They insulated their country againt recession. Instead of cutting jobs, reducing salaries, delaying salaries they did exactly the opposite. During special occasions like eid, Christmas, National Holidays and Months in which long weekends they preoponed the salary dates dpeneding upon When the occasions and holidays are due in that months. This way people are able to increase their buying capacities and spending power and we went on to enjoy and spend sensibly. As a result the impact of recession was marginalized.
