Very much a favorite of this ex-tympanist! Along with Jiří Družecký these cannot be beat (pun intended)

I LOVE the cadenza at the end of the first movement. Makes me smile. 😘 Here is some more info on this symphony. " For nearly two hundred years the Symphonie mit acht obligaten Pauken 5-7 was thought to be by Johann Wilhelm Hertel (1727-1789) since it is bound with his other symphonies. In his 1977 Ph.D. dissertation at the Wilhelm-Pieck University in Rostock, Studien über das Musikschaffen Johann Christian und Johann Wilhelm Hertels, Reinhard Diekow conclusively determined on stylistic grounds that the work is not by Hertel but Johann Carl Christian Fischer . Although he's not so famous, this composer is great! This sounds calm and soft to the ears. Great job!

Un innovador para la época por el uso de la percusión que contrasta con la orquesta. Por momentos la acompaña y realza y por otras casi se convierte en solista. Como siempre, agradecido por su regalo.

Compositore a me ignoto (come tantissimi altri), però dalla brillante carriera, brillante come questo incalzante concerto! 👏👏

This Johann Karl Chistian Fischer's eight timpani and orchestra symphonies in C major is my favorite piece of classical music. In the first movement, timpani (and oboe) play an active part, and it has the appearance of a timpani concerto, and the repetition of "Tanta Tan Ta Ta Ta Ta Ta ..." makes this movement more impressive. .. In response to this, brass instruments are also more profound and light. Cadenza also demands great master craftsmanship, and it is a movement that can be said to be a model of music using timpani. Even in the short second movement, timpani has been active from the beginning and has dominated the movement from beginning to end. In the 3rd movement, as if timpani responds to a light rhythm, its presence is great and the tune of "ta ta ta tan ta ta ta ta tan" remains in the ear, and oboe is also a song. Timpani and brass instruments are very active in coda, and I think it is natural that this rhythm will become more popular. This composer was originally an oboe player, and I also have the sound sources for two oboe concertos, so I think it's natural that oboe will play an active role in this song. In any case, this Johann Karl Chistian Fischer is buried in the history of music, and I think his work should be made into a sound source.
