Blackberry Cobbler- Recipes & Recovery ( Episode 2 )

RUBY’S BLACKBERRY COBBLER
Ingredients- Cobbler
2 boxes of Jiffy Pie Crust
3-4 cups blackberries
1 stick of butter
Sugar
Prepare pie crust according to box instructions. Divide and make 15 balls of dough. Roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle. Place a heaping tablespoon of berries in the center. Add a pat of butter on top, followed by a heaping teaspoon of sugar. Fold dough over the berries and seal. Place in a buttered 9x13 glass baking dish. Repeat until all 15 are in the dish. Place dish into a preheated 350° oven. Bake until it dough starts to brown a little.
Sauce ingredients
2 cups of water
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 stick of butter
Whisk cornstarch into sugar. Then add water and butter stir over medium heat until all is dissolved. Continue to cook until it starts to thicken then remove from heat. Remove dish from oven and pour sauce over all to completely cover. Return to the oven and bake until cobbler is as brown as you like it and sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve warm. It’s delicious with vanilla ice cream. #recipes #baking #addictionrecovery #earlysobriety
