This looks so good. I’ve tried just air frying for 35 minutes, but I’m going to try pressure cooking first.
@brandon3872

Were they soft in the middle when you air fried them for 35 minutes? I imagine without pressure cooking them first, large potatoes would still be a bit raw in the middle, no?

Tried this and the result was brilliant. The only thing I can recommend is always have a plastic spray bottle of virgin olive oil handy - it makes for an even coating on the potatoes.

Thanks for video. I watched this and then watched it back as a reminder. I think there is slight mistake at 4:18 where the slide suggests to pressure cook it for further 20 minutes but obviously you meant air fry for 10. Didn't spot this initially, only saw it when I played it back looking for a reminder. Thanks again

I haven't used my foodi 14-in-1 one lid yet, I'm looking at youtube recipes first. I've never used a pressure cooker before so need clarification about the seal/vent, which isn't shown in your video. Apart from that I can't wait to try this recipe. Thank you
@Recipethis
@Recipethis Жыл бұрын
You go to sealing when you want to pressure cook then across to venting to release pressure. If just starting with the ninja this will be helpful recipethis.com/getting-started-with-the-ninja-foodi/

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, as we've all heard stories about pressure cookers exploding, but with modern ones like the ninja foodi that's extremely rare, and it's generally quite straight forward to use, despite all the functions.
@VioletVolchok
@VioletVolchok Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the clear recipe, can't wait to try it! Question about the Foodi - when you use the Bake function, do you need to let it heat up first like a normal oven then put the food in, or do you put in the food straight away? For example if you bought something that says "bake for 20 mins at 200C" I'm wondering if it would be burnt if you put the food in straight away rather than waiting.
@Recipethis
@Recipethis Жыл бұрын
No need to wait the ninja foodi is so good it doesn’t need a preheat 👍

Help! Thanks so much for the recipe/instructions. It didn’t work for me. The taters kind of exploded when pressure cooking?? They were very well ‘pricked’ and I followed your instructions bang on! But they were destroyed after pressure cooking (used quick release?) I am using a ninja foodi 15 in 1… what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

@brandon3872
@brandon3872 Жыл бұрын
The same thing happened to me the first time I pressure cooked them. I find that if I prick them with a fork in several places, and reduce it to low pressure for the last 5 minutes, it doesn't happen to mine any more (15 minutes high, 5 minutes low). Also, make sure you release the pressure as soon as the cooking time has finished to avoid over cooking them. Good luck!
