If constant pressure at which air is sucked inside the cylinder is atmospheric pressure, how valve will open if pressure on both side of the valve is atmospheric pressure

It's without clearance
@Soman895 жыл бұрын
P1 should be less than atmospheric pressure then only the valve will open. There has to be the pressure difference on both side of the valve.
@Dr.AmitMandal5 жыл бұрын
It is slightly lower which is not considered.

sir it was an awesome lecture. I think if we are considering the piston-cylinder arrangement as the compression process starts the pressure inside the cylinder increases and then the outlet valve opens when pressure becomes more than the pressure in storage tank or pressure valve. so with an open volume we can't increase the pressure that's why the process is isobaric. This may be a reason for that. Is it?
@Dr.AmitMandal7 жыл бұрын
+Rajendra prasad Swain actually when the mode changes from closed to open valve then due to small displacement of piston compared to large system ( large volume of pressure vessel) the pressure change is very small and insignificant

The formula derivation is incorrect. work done in open system should be W1-2 = integration(v.dp) and not p.dv
@Dr.AmitMandal6 жыл бұрын
No the result of derivation becomes P=VdP
@frictionless6 жыл бұрын
Sir, We should take area towards y axis or x axis?
@अण्वायुवरीवर्त6 жыл бұрын
@@frictionless both will work but in limits of Y U will have to use change of orders for double integrations So easy n preferred is normal way Plus in that other way u will have to encounter some variable limits
