Presentation of the S-230 Bamboo Spherical Speaker by Klaus Reck himself. (incl. wall mount)
The cabinet is handcrafted from rapidly renewable bamboo wood.
Inside is a combination of our excellent W-132 bass-midrange driver and T-1.0C dome.
The application areas include stereo, surround, desktop and other close-up areas, object sound reinforcement.

You should also mention Dr. Olsen's research work in the 1950s that showed the sphere had no negative effect on frequency response, whereas all other cabinet shapes had some impact. These look like the Cabasse, how are they different of better? I also build spherical speakers as a diy but a stack of 4 for subwoofer - woofer - mid and tweeter, so not a point source but more like a "tower" profile. The lack of diffraction effect and the resulting openness of the sound stage is great. Actually use Ikea bowls that are perfect half spheres, bamboo, and glue them together and are very strong.
