Just sharing my POV, I got my license at the age of 22. There was a simple car stop and start test at Mumbai RTO and riding around on a activa. Fast forward 10 years aheady, I am trying to get a license in Germany, there is a theory exams where there is 1500 question bank and any 30 questions can come from that bank after I clear the exams then is the practical exams for which I have to do mandatory lessons. Getting a license here costs 2000 euros and 6-8 months, it's extremely slow and tedious but nobody is driving like a maniac on the road nor do you see anyone blatantly breaking the rules. We may go on to become the largest economy in the world, we may go on to build Burj khalifa but only with discipline and courtesy comes first world feeling which unfortunately is a dream in our country of India.

I have read about this very carefully. When people commit traffic rules, people have every right to upload videos on social media. Bangalore traffic police have a dedicated Twitter handle to look at such violations and generate violation challan. Do note that the number plate is for public display and there is a dedicated app by ministry of transport to look at insurance, challan details and name of the owner as well (slightly masked)

Bicycles were not meant for the roads as cars, etc were build to go faster and faster...even the future of EVs were faster than a Ferrari. Bicycles shd have their own bicycle lanes like pedestrians. If you mixed both definitely will have this problem. In the past the motorist could accept and co-exists peacefully, but now the bicycle population is growing, thus new roads specially for bicycles are necessary. The problem is who is going to pay, unless governments begin to tax bicycles like cars for using them.

You shouldn't have used the term "bad". That's all I'm against about. There are very few bicycle lanes present in bangalore, and then there are these stupid autos who park in the bicycle lanes or these workers who keep their items in the lane. No one asks so we're essentially pushed back into the main motor roads again.

"One way" As if u have never drove in a one way,instead of driving the whole city to take a turn it's better to take a short cut when there's less traffic in that road,not supporting this when there's traffic cause it might be a problem but due to high petrol price middle class men like me would prefer to take a short cut and I do it considering the traffic on the one way without causing problem to the other people (and yes I would strictly be against people who go one way with cars)
