I installed the fender with the stock air box. The fender will fit fine if you file down the bracket where it bolts onto the bike. You showed how the bracket was hitting that ridge when you bolt it on. When you file down the bracket so it fits flush, it works perfect with the stock air box. I'm saving up for that Polini kit though!

That's a lot of my modding for a product that should be a bolt and play situation in my humble opinion. Or at least they should specify in the product description. Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope everyone finds this helpful!

Where I find to order the polini air intake? I can't seem to find it. Reckless customs has coming soon. Also what size is the intake, 38mm@@mikey.mike.

Just got my rear fender from reckless customs installed on my navi with my stock airbox on. I heated a razorblade with a torch and (carefully) shaved about 5mm from the left support of the little mounting bracket that was preventing the fender from sitting in the proper position. Looks good. Will look great with a tire upgrade 😂 right now it's just emphasizing how tiny the stock back tire actually is.

That rear tire is crazy tiny. Nice, appreciate the insight on modifying the stock fender! I'm sure this will help a lot of folks.

@mikey.mike.9 ай бұрын
I did have to adjust the idle slightly. Maybe a quarter turn or so. Other than that no issues when accelerating and idling. The 130/70 didn't have any fitment issues. The brake link comes super close though. Front tire is a 110/70. I have a video so you can actually check out the fitment.

did you have to use an EGR block off plate, or just disconnect the secondary air system entirely? I am installing mine on my Navi and don't know what to do with the secondary air system I bought the EGR block off plate for it and I'm going to put some small filter on the gearbox breather tube and EGR intake(also known as secondary air supply in the factory service manual). I ended up removing the center stand and exhaust cover because I was leaning the bike over so far

I was able to keep it stock on mine. The only thing it needed was the idle adjusted up. Ride safe!

@mikey.mike. got a video on how to do that idale adjustment? I'm new to the navi world and your videos are great step by step
@mikey.mike.5 ай бұрын
I actually don't. However, It's simple to do though. The idle screw is located on the left side of the carb. It's a gold Philips head. It has a spring on it as well. If you turn it clockwise you increase the idle speed. Counter clockwise you decrease. It doesn't take much so start with small adjustments like quarter turns. You'll be able to hear the difference. Also, be sure your bike is warmed up before adjusting the idle for best results.

Hello Mike, I have a question about the new setup. I bought all the items and installed every device on my Honda Navi 2023. Today I tried a few minutes of my Honda Navi, and after I stopped my motorcycle 🏍️ I saw oil on the floor. The motorcycle is leaking oil 🥹. Do you think that this problem is because of the new intake or because I removed the original air filter? Could you help me, please?
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
I would first identify where the actual leak is coming from. It shouldn't be leaking from the air filter.

I don't ride in wet conditions so I can't say. However, I've washed it a few times and it's held up so far. I do avoid spraying directly at it though and give it ample time to dry before firing up again.

Will all this fit with the right 110/70/12 cause I'd like them to match, and if so do you actually recommend going for it
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe everything should fit with a 12 inch wheel. Reckless Customs looks to have the exact setup on the photo they used on their website of the Rear Fender. The website does say that the fender will fit a 12 inch wheel. The filter is low profile enough that I don't see it getting in the way. However, I cannot recommend it as I don't have personal experience running a 12 inch rear wheel.
Iv got a Honda elite 80cc and my air box is gone put a cheap pod on it and it doesn't work if any moisture gets on it at all iv rode with no filter in the rain a couple times it rides better with out one . What will happen if I keep riding with it
@mikey.mike.10 ай бұрын
Definitely wouldn't recommend riding without a filter. You could end of with dirt and anything else making its way into your engine. You don't water getting in either.
