Haven't gotten to your solution yet, but I have one that is tried and true: Moth balls in a sachet: You just tie a string to them and hang them under the hood to hang down into engine compartment. You can also do the same to the rig to prevent them from getting in there, as well. You just have to remember exactly how many you have and where you put them, when packing up to travel. My kids, in Parker, used to get the desert kangaroo mice until I told them about this method.

Seen folks pull up to dump station and get dump valve as close to dump hole as possible. Then, open their dump valve ,with NO HOSE, and hope their crap goes into the hole. Well, it doesn't. Toilet paper remnants EVERYWHERE! Those folks got reported to campground hosts. They got banned from camping there.

Can't wait to see what your mouse deterrent method is. We have had good success with one of those 12v noise and flashing light devices in the truck. My Starlink is mounted on a flagpole buddy pole on the rear ladder. My modem is permanently mounted under my stairs and I added an outlet there and a light switch in the storage bay to turn it on and off. I also cut the cable and wired it to a cable wall plate and then cut the cable to my desired length to use with the with the satellite pole and put a new end on the cable. Put two ends on the remaining cable and a cable connector just in case I need to position somewhere else to get signal.

I enjoy your videos and this is the first time I think I have commented. My heart breaks as yours does when I see all the garbage left behind.. You are so nice when talking to the folks about it. I wish I could be. But I really believe these people know what they are doing and really Just Don't Care. All the asking, reminding, pleading in the world is not going to make a dent in their behavior. I don't know what the answer is and I hate to be a downer. But honestly the only solution I see is to pick up everyone else's messes. I don't know if there is enough of us to be able to accomplish that. So sad.

I am at the part of the video where you are talking about mice in your truck, under the hood. Just a month ago I was getting new tires and an oil change - the technician told me that he sees mice footprints under my hood. I said "What?" He showed them to me. I bought a mouse trap (The snap kind that you don't want to get your fingers in). I set it up (High bond taped it near the area where the footprints are) - It has been 1 month and there has been no sign of a mouse, no more footprints, and the trap is still set. I am guessing they are left over from an RV park from last summer, hopefully the little critter jumped out at 55 mph and got squished! Just to be safe, I am leaving the mouse trap in place. I am glad the rattlesnake left, it would have been good to capture and release back into the wild. I look forward to your next video. By the way, we are thinking about making reservations with the Escapees at the Rock Springs Wyoming event in June.

Don’t discount frame flex. It will be at your own peril. What causes screws to come out is movement. Also, loctite isn’t going to work on sheet metal screws, especially with tons of movement. So look up the official testing for pin box movement and test it out. It could just be the camera angle, but your pin box look uneven.
@franklentz5388
@franklentz5388 3 ай бұрын
People thinking frameflex is bad welds. Steel beams, no matter if their quality all take the same amount of energy to flex the same distance. What sets them apart is higher quality can do it and return to its original shape, cheap steel just bends. Blame the frame manufacturer using low quality material from India.
@franklentz5388
@franklentz5388 3 ай бұрын
Yea, that’s it loctite, that’s the answer! The screws didn’t back out…the screw threads grab into the material it threaded into, the material failed and that screw will not hold again, a bigger screw will bite but it will probably pull again. That’s the flex issue y’all been hearing about, that don’t mean it failed but it’s sure flexing.
@jarrsong
@jarrsong 3 ай бұрын
Really the frame flex is from a poor design from ironically from a company called “Grand Design”, second an inadequate steel structure and absolutely terrible manufacturing processes like welding/assembly. My guess is you are missing lag bolts in the upper bedroom in the side walls and are seeing trim and other wall items coming loose in the RV. Probably some soft floor squeaking near the side walls. Start looking in the front storage bay at wall/floor connection points. I think you’ve been bit by Grand Design. I spent 17 years in commercial airplane manufacturing and upstanding what it takes to make things last.

Hey guys, I was wondering if could mention whether the places you go are pet friendly in your description box, also that rattlesnake would have bothered me I don't think I could have walked away not knowing where it was going and regarding the trash people leave it's not that they don't know better, they just don't care. Thanks a lot see you in the next video.

That is a good question about the pets. We currently do not have a pet but we have seen people with pets at most boondocking spots we have been to. Another tip that we have seen when visiting a boondocking area is to see reviews that maybe people will leave if they think there are dangers to look out for when it comes to pets like coyotes, snakes, sticker bushes, etc. Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
