Reclaimed Barnwood Notebook - Episode 6

Episode 6 -
In this episode I make a sketch notebook out of reclaimed barnwood. First it is cut to size, planed down to thickness, sanded smooth, and finished with an acrylic topcoat. The book rings were purchased off amazon. Link listed below.

I tried smaller ones and it didn’t open as easy as I liked. But I’m sure there would be a size somewhat smaller than this that would look better. Thanks for watching!

What is the thickness of the boards? Mine won't close and I am using 3" hooks. Perhaps the holes need to be larger?
